I don't see a reason to doubt Burgi's story on his face, if it's true he's vaxxed (my first thought when he was dismissed and recast was that he wasn't). He's not attacking the show. I do also suspect that given his resume he costs less than Robert Newman, so his mistake would be a convenient excuse to recast and cut costs. But they could be completely in the right. It won't make the show any better.

My thoughts exactly.
He is a good-looking older man but he looks incredibly jarring as a romantic partner next to AH who doesn't look her age at all.
RB/AH looked like an older man with a younger woman. This looks like a dad with his daughter.

I agree that picture makes Ashland look like a contemporary of Victor (and old enough to be Victoria's dad). I never thought that before. With the way Ashland seems to be "over-stepping" in Victoria's eyes, hopefully they won't be a couple much longer. Ashland should pursue Nikki. 

I want Nikki to pursue Ashland in an effort to protect her daughter because she thinks he's nefarious and have it turn into a real affair.

I mean I want that on a well-written show, not this one.

I never understood why they put AH with an older man to begin with. They've burnt that character out with her in the role.

Have they even addressed the age difference? Jack was with a woman young enough to be his granddaughter (twice!) and it wasn't even a story point.

Y'all just want everyone to die! I think Y&R is still salvageable with the cast they have (minus Chloe, Kevin and Chelsea, they can all die painfully), they just need better stories.

Victoria would not do that but one of my favorite soap plots of all time is Football Wives' Tanya Turner killing her hated weak-heart much older husband by pumping him with Viagra and f***ing him over and over until his heart yielded.
