I think it's a little unfair to compare Beyond Salem and this. Beyond Salem was a 5 episode miniseries. This is a 1 hour 20 minute Christmas movie.

As for if it's worth it being on Premium. If you paid the $5 specially to watch this and don't plan on watching anything else on Peacock, than no, it's probably not worth it to you. However, there's a lot of other content you can only get in the Premium tier I do think makes it worth it overall.

If you don't get Hallmark Channel, they have a subscription service that $6.99. If you plan on watching all gazillion Christmas movies they put out, it's well worth it, but if you only plan on watching one, I honestly can say there's a single Hallmark Christmas movie, alone that is worth $6.99 IMO.

I shipped Leo and Xander on the main show and I did for this movie too. I would have went a little farther with them since it's a What If, but given time constraints, there was bigger plots in the movie.

The actor wasn't even playing Xander. Was he? I know Will and Sonny said it was him but why was he dressed like a geek?

I agree the kiss with Leo and Xander should've been hotter than what we got. A whole lot of stuff should've been more earth shattering.

I actually liked the movie. It wasn't perfect but it delivered what they were going for, I think. Festive and fun. Not exactly a soap, not exactly Hallmark. Ambitious but with a little time and money they could really make these specials good.

I love Eileen but I missed Stacy. Especially in the "cards on a doorstep" scene. Kristen has always been my favorite character and anyone who knows me knows I love Eileen. But Kristen has evolved for me. Since taking over the role Stacy's brought complexity I just appreciate.

To me, Kristen's value as a character is her combustibility. She's the perfect yin/yang of love and hate and goes to extremes for both. Equal parts strength and vulnerability. With a touch of psychosis. Both of them are great but I prefer Stacy now.

Deidre Hall should be part of every Days special. J&M are a cornball sometimes but what's Days without Marlena?

I could've done without the Cruella costume.

Dan, Ali and Ari did a great job but the triple slap was too much. I know it was a throwback but... no. That said, it was smart to remember the Sydnapping given the current story.

Why did we get a striptease with no ass?

Next time they should do Haunting of DiMera Manor with Stacy and Eileen both. An homage to Stefano with flashbacks.

"Haunted by ghosts of the past, the DiMera siblings find themselves lost in the hidden DiMera catacombs." Bring back Lexie. Louise Sorel. Maybe even Peter Blake.

I'd watch.

Yeah. I wonder if TVline was referring to the Love Actually scene between Kristen and Brady. He was naked for that, but we didn't see any more than we normally do on the main show.

Nudity's not necessary but if you're going to make it Premium and make a point to write a in striptease, don't go halfway with it.

Your audience is housewives and gay men. Spell out "Merry XMas" on their asses or something.

The most underrated part of the movie was Will killing off his grandpa Roman. Can that happen on the main show too?

Josh Taylor's Roman always seemed like a waste of space to me.

It's too bad they had to show a pic of Josh Taylor. I was hoping the homeless drunk was a much alive Roman played by Wayne Northrop.

I thought when Brady was doing the cue cards and dropped the last one and Kristen watches him leave....I thought a butt shot.

    • Yeah. I wasn't feeling it either. If it was meant to be a chem test, it didn't work. I don't think so. Because I think Neil and Liz moved into that house after Stefano "died", and Neil lived there until he went to go see his patients and never came back

    • Canada aired a repeat today Tues. Nov. 18. So after being a day ahead for the past week, they will now be back in sync with U.S.
    • I was really starting to enjoy it, but after Anspach, Shelton and Keane left, it got a bit blah to watch. Jane Russell was great as Rose, Buddy Ebsen as Toat was interesting as well.  If a second season were in the cards, I would have signed  Karen Carlson on to a contract and cast a couple more women as regulars. The cowboy aspect could continue. Sam Elliott, as always, was fantastic,  The camaraderie between Roy and Quisto was really good as well. Cybill... she was sex on a stick and unapologetic.   Poor Robin Wright barely lasted five minutes, though, before being raped and murdered.
    • I love it that we've gone from daylight to dark -- Luna's even returned to work -- but Steffy is still sitting next to shirtless Finn on the sofa.

    • Is the current DiMera mansion the same mansion Stefano moved into around 1983?  I remember that house was out near a lake, and not far from Doug Williams' night club.  In fact, there was a tunnel connecting Doug's Place to the DiMera mansion.  If it supposed to be the same house, I'm fairly sure it is not the same set.  But I'm aware sometimes soap opera sets change without any explanation
    • Amazing work @slick jones I remember watching and enjoying Yellow Rose but losing interest once they went to self contained episodes, Interestingly that's the opposite of what Dallas, KL and FC did. So maybe YR should have been more episodic at first and then go to a fully fledged serial. But really the timeslot was the problem -Sat @10 was not the spot for a serial. And Rounders turned out to be a poor lead in. Maybe 9-11 Tues following A Team would have helped.
    • LOL!!! He looks like he is reacting as if Luna just passed bad gas or something.
    • Doug Marland came on board shortly before Gloria Monty, I believe. Jackie Smith was in charge of ABC daytime at that point. All of the characters in place were not his creations. Alan was created by Irving and Tex Ellman who wrote the hurricane story a few months before and brought in Alan, Scotty, David Hamilton, Dorrie and Lisa/Lana. His first character was  Bobbie in Jan 78. Apart from wrapping up the Lan/Lisa story he pretty much kept all the stories going just adding new elements.
    • She is 29... she's inching closer, and we know how important age is on soaps.

    • When I saw that look on Will's face, I thought, "Yeah, there's no one on set giving direction to Crew Morrow. There's no one giving notes." His dad Josh was green when he started, but not this green.
