Her comment was the first thing I looked for when I saw the news and I was touched by everything she had to say. One thing surprised me -- I think I had imagined that the show was a vehicle for Richard Lewis and Jamie Lee must have been cast for him. (But it has been a very long time since I have seen it and it is also possible that some of my memories of it got scrambled with Mad About You and Paul Reiser).

I thought of her right off the bat. I didn't know she snorts when she laughs. Love that, I do, too. Richard Lewis being gone strangely is like a punch in the stomach.

If you took film theory classes, you know David Bordwell’s work well. R.I.P.

Very sorry to hear about Steve Lawrence. I'm glad his suffering is over. There was a certain cultural sneering toward Steve and Eydie (my first memory of them is the somewhat infamous Frank Sinatra Group SNL sketch which tore them apart as worthless hangers-on [Sinatra loathed Phil Hartman's take on him]), but I find them likeable and charming, much more than a number of patter duos over the years.

I enjoyed his appearances on Carol's show. He did very well with comedy.

Burnett, who shared the stage with Lawrence numerous times on The Carol Burnett show from 1967-1978 shared a sweet snap of the pair and wrote: 'Steve was one of my favorite guests on my variety show, appearing 39 times'

I was talking to a friend about how much I love the Raspberries’ song “Go All the Way.” Such an underrated band and of course he had a very successful solo career. R.I.P.

The last time I heard of Carmen was for his Trump support, which tends to make me wonder if he would even want some of us to remember him, but in spite of that, I did love a lot of his '70s and '80s work - a very rich pop. This is my favorite:

This death was in 1995 but this interesting & fairly elaborate post just showed up. Richard Guthrie was one of the David Banning's on DAYS. He was playing the role when they went bold & edgy & did an early interracial relationship between him & Valerie Grant & the whole Grant family actually was involved in a great story. But, to the point here, RIP Richard Guthrie, how awful losing him at only 45 years old.
