I remember this. The look on her face says it all. (And Sean Connery, while being one of our greatest actors whose work I still enjoy, was allegedly brutal towards his first wife Diane Cilento, a brilliant actress in her own right who made her own career to Connery's chagrin.)

And now, a loving tribute from a slightly less grim time in our lives:

I fondly recall her last day on The View when every noteworthy female television journalist, including those on other networks, people she may have clashed with professionally, all came on stage and gave her a hug, one by one, each acknowledging that she had paved the way.

Here’s the clip of that:

Loved the Pointer Sisters. So many hits that are timeless yet so of the era they came from. Few could have triumphed as country singers and starring on an Eddie Murphy soundtrack.

Cancer. Actually it was only announced a few days ago by Jeremiah’s mother than he had an aggressive Stage 4 cancer.

I wonder if CNN will cancel Cheri Oteri's regular appearance on Anderson and Andy's New Year's special?

This is what they did last night, in tribute to Barbara

They were so good in multiple genres. Their influence on music is underrated. Can people please shower Ruth with love and appreciation while we still have her?

Feels like so many great British music artists have died in their 50s and 60s recently. Alan Rankine was a founding member and the sonic master behind the great Scottish ‘80s band Associates, featuring one of the most astonishingly powerful voices ever in music, Billy Mackenzie (who unfortunately took his own life in 1997). Alan was totally gorgeous too.
