Massive icons like Aretha Franklin or Donna Summer will certainly continue to get their own threads when they pass, but I figured it might be worth having a place to honor lesser-known celebrities who have left us, especially because we can’t see status updates (which is where a lot of those announcements were made on here previously).
 

But the great actor Ian Holm has died at 88:

My personal feelings about his contribution to the media ecosystem, I'm not going to cheer on anyone's tragic or untimely death - especially, apparently, to depression. All the best to his loved ones.

Lisa Marie Presley seemed like such a "little girl lost" to me. Losing her dad so young, then having her son commit suicide, it just seemed like she was destined for heartbreak.

I hope she rests in peace and her surviving children find comfort now.

My heart also goes out to Priscilla Presley.

Oh damn. How tragic. She didn’t look well when she appeared at the Golden Globe awards but this was beyond what would have come to mind as being a possibility.
