I think you're right. It disappoints me that Robert Calhoun era GL was so low-rated. I don't believe that the tail end of supercouple Days was a better show than Robert Calhoun era GL.

The end of 89 saw a ratings improvement for GL, but it wasn't sustained. There also is an overall downward trend for all the soaps at this point.

Second half of 1987 was a mess across the board because of Iran-Contra and Nielsen people meters.

It ranked #6 and #4 but can't believe the number was so low for ATWT.

 

 

@Soapsuds As the World Turns should gain ground in May and June since One Life to Live appears to be tanking. There was a week in summer 1990 where As the World Turns was 2nd and some weeks that summer they were 3rd.

Andrea Evans quit in January 1990...she last appeared because of the taping schedule in February/March 1990.
