Why not? They look similar enough. Collins can be fiery. She'd be likeable and could do fierce. And she's the right age. She's too old for Noelle. But when you have ages all over the place, does it really matter anymore? 

 

I'm at the point I'd rather have recasts than new characters.

Wow I'm shocked people would actually want to recast Samantha Freakin Brady. It's bad enough we have new Vivians and Kristens.

Well, it's not ideal, but it beats the hell out of these brief, random returns from AS that disrupt more than serve story.

I would take that over someone else playing Sami Freakin Brady. I’m sorry I just don’t enjoy recasts of long term characters especially iconic ones.

Agreed!  Isn't one of the great things about soaps is that you're able to see familiar faces once and while?  They're like family members who don't live in the same city as you and you only see them a couple times a year.  I'd rather that happen than not seeing them ever again.   Soaps should do this more often with more characters, especially during the holidays and special events, or if a character is going through sometime big.......like real family members.

Yup. If they want and need a character back on the canvas full time then I can sort of accept a recast out of necessity (see Kristen), but I'd rather not have them do a Vivian type of recast because Louise Sorel wasn't available at the time. If Sweeney's game for doing short guest stints then why not? I don't think they desperately needs Sami full time on the canvas either (Belle, Carrie etc could fill any void that Sami's left in theory), though if Sweeney wanted to do it I'd say go for it.
