Hahahaha what the eff?! Sure. Why not. Clearly, the headwriter is bored with his own show, so let's just do a timewarp and then slowly fill in the missing pieces, like when Desperate Housewives jumped ahead 5 years.

Can't wait to see all the bushes and shrubbery at HTS and The Park Bench look the exact same, because trees don't grow in Salem.

I can't wait until Marlena is repossessed and morphs into a leprechaun.

Why not just realize that Ben is an irredeemable psycho, kill him off, and find another eight-pack of abs for Ron Carlivati to have giggly fun with?

This!

Yep.  Ron Carlivati realized he had nowhere to go with any of his stories, so he's simply skipping ahead and pretending those stories are over and done with.  Unfortunately, no time jump in the world will ever make up for his severe deficiencies as a writer.  Salem can jump all the way to the year 2525 and be relocated to another galaxy far, far away.  The stories he tells there won't be any better.

Maybe Zager and Evans should get a shot writing the show.

They couldn't be any worse than Ron Carlivati!

At a guess, DAYS is too broke to do a proper trial for Kristen so they'll skip that entirely just write that she wrangled her way out of her legal troubles somehow since they plan on keeping her.

Could this time jump turn out to be just Days' version of Peapack? I hope not.

I would say this is DAYS' version of a Search for Tomorrow flood or a Sunset Beach tsunami/earthquake event.  A last-ditch effort to stay afloat. But we'll see... DAYS has dodged death countless times in the last 16 years.

I wish they cared enough to spend some more money on it.
