If their goal is at least to make POC scared even to leave their homes, then from where I sit (with one eye peeking through the curtains), they're doing a bang-up job.

Which can only stand for so long.  Soon we may be seeing POC armed to the teeth, after getting sick and tired of being targeted.  We know the Blank Panthers have been itching to make a comeback in a big way...if this doesn't provide an opening for that to happen, I don't know what is. 

The Black Panthers were why gun control was pushed in California when Reagan was Governor. If they made a comeback and were armed there would be some conservatives changing their tune on gun control.

I suspect as much.  In fact, many East Coast states and cities that had a chapter of The Black Panthers also have some gun control policies, which have only gotten stronger in the wake of the tragedy at Sandy Hook.  The problem is often when people enter from states that have lax gun laws or smuggle guns from those states. 

And yeah, I already know that if these guys on Capitol Hill see a bunch of POC walking around with guns, many would become instant converts for gun control. There'd be flyers mysteriously showing up in people's mailboxes contending as much.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is being shouted down at this vigil in Dayton. Crowd is chanting “Do Something” as DeWine offers his condolences to the city and victims of the shooting.

Well, authorities in Dayton are saying there is no evidence that the shooting there was motivated by racial bias.  Yet, the majority of the deceased were minorities.  So, I guess you could say the fact that he killed mostly POC was just...what...dumb luck?

Two more people died as a result of their injuries in El Paso. 

 

That stupid fool called Dayton Toledo during his speech, which I am relieved to have missed.  The only reason I know is because it's trending online.

We're at the point where nobody cares. "Jawn Wick" trended on Twitter for hours and hours. People thought the Philly shootings were hilarious. 

We all knew (or some of us knew) that all it would take was a black man who was armed to the teeth to get the conversation going on gun control.

 

And SURPRISE (not) the NRA has nothing to say on the matter!

That's why it both tickles and frustrates me whenever (white) people talk about racism in this country like it's something brand new.  Where have you BEEN, White America!?
