looks about that time of year to build another storyline around him and then let Liam/Wyatt sh!t on it.

The last trip around was pathetic and if they can't do better than that, then he and Caroline need to stay gone.  The "Caroline is Dying" was so stupid...of some autoimmune disease and they don't know what it is.  And she apparently never goes to the Doctor...or if she does, Thomas never goes with her.  And she must have lied about her disease to her mother as well and they never addressed any of it.  Then, Thomas finds out the whole thing was a lie but stays with Caroline anyway because he does love her and must stay with her and the baby the way Bill said.  ?????  Just abysmal stuff, but pretty much par for the show.

 

This has no potential but to end up badly.  Even if they do the Wyatt/Sally/Thomas triangle, which we know is coming...then Liam will decide he's now interested in Sally again too.

Correct. Lame will turn away from Stuffy because somehow she would've been 'complicit' in the baby switch. S2 will be 'vulnerable' after DumbAs returns to NYC and Ct. WyNot hooks up with H8ie and/or Dope again, etc. The big problem with B&B is that paths are very limited for characters. 

just read the last Thomas was cast in some new CW show, so I guess that's why they recast.
