I think there are good people working at CNN, just as there are at any fundamentally skewed, messed-up media institution. There are talented reporters at the Times or the Post, or CNN or MSNBC or NBC or wherever else who work hard and mean well, some of whom still do very good work, and are unhappy with how the institutions have handled Trump. But I think too many of the on-air talent or star reporters go along to get along. I don't blame Abby Phillip for what happened, I blame CNN for insisting on staffing these panels with right wing operatives for a daily clown show and making the hosts or on-air talent (those that aren't instinctively Republican-leaning that is, which some certainly are) treat them credulously.

I don't blame all the people who work at CNN, but I do think in order to work there you have to enable the worst elements of society and ultimately that's what carries the network. This guy is the new version of the Trump supporter who did a Nazi salute oncamera. They get rid of scapegoats and keep the Scott Jennings of the world.

USA Today - I am surprised they didn't endorse Trump as anything I see of them is right wing op-eds.

I had wondered what happened to some of the brain dead Teen Vogue figures who were meant to save the world.

Oh, well.  At least we still have the movie "All the President's Men" to remind us of when a newspaper like the WaPo still had integrity.

It was inevitable. The industry is dying and believing the billionaires would really help save it was our own fault(not us personally).  People need to remember what Hearst did with his newspapers and how many years ago was that.

The Chicago Sun Times was bought up by a mixture of people in the industry who still believe in journalism. It's still around and does good reporting, but sadly it's still only a matter of time.

Support INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM.

I rewatched that film by the way several months back after it being years since I have seen it.  Maybe because I remember actual landline telephones, but there is a scene in that film with Redford/Woodward - on the phone and getting transferred, calling diff people, etc that is really compelling. You have to watch it in the context of the film and story to understand why. But it hit me when I was watching it.
