I wonder that myself. Younger audiences, I have found, display a much lower tolerance for b.s. You can't "fake it," because they'll KNOW it; and all you have to do is to look at the longevity of entertainers like Carroll Spiney and Fred Rogers to know what I'm talking about.
Janice and Dian were fantasy women in every sense of the term, but Holly came across more as someone you knew or would like to know. IMO, that's the most important factor to have in someone whom you're essentially welcoming into your home five days a week.
That's why it breaks my heart to see how much Bob Barker in particular has devastated Holly, both professionally and personally. If anyone deserves to have a happy ending after the way she has been treated by a horrific boss, it's Holly.
