Well, these are only the first returns confirmations at the moment, but I'd be very surprised if she and the rest don't either in the first season or the second (it's planned to run three years). LeVar Burton said recently he was fairly sure he would at some point.

I always wanted Picard and Crusher to get together properly. I know the producers nixed it in the final seasons of TNG, and there was an inexplicable push to pair him off with new women in the films (though they sadly nixed his kiss with Alfre Woodard in First Contact - they were great together). In the TNG books they married and had a son. I hope there is a nod to their relationship, as in the series finale it was said they married (and divorced) in a possible future.

I grew up watching TNG every week so that trailer and news has really took me back. Awesome trailer.

I don't know anything, but I assume at least Dr. Crusher will make appearances in the first series. Vee is right that they're married with a child in the books and possibly the comics that are going on right now too? I'm not sure. (I'm pretty sure they're married in that MMO Star Trek Online game that is ongoing too). I'd guess it's more of a case of them holding off on announcing everything at once and them wanting to have some surprises.

With that being said, I have a feeling they're going to slowly share news up to the premiere and they wanted to show off Seven of Nine and Data, which is why they used them in the trailer. I'm a little surprised they went ahead and announced Troi and Riker too, unless they felt it might be too much to try and hide if they're appearing in a lot of the episodes (I know they didn't say how many, but I got the vibe that them, Data, and Seven of Nine are in a fair amount). Plus, I think someone spotted them together onset and took a photo that they tried to brush off as her visiting the set while he was directing but it was obviously what was going on. I wonder how much of their story- if any-  from the books they'll keep.

Geordi and Worf, I can them holding off with until the second series, but I'm sure they'll appear too at some point. I think the urge to get all of them back together will be to much too resist. I could see them bringing on Kate Mulgrew for an episode or two as well.

Some sleuths on Reddit and Twitter found this about someone that is more than likely making an appearance:

https://twitter.com/AleSTrek/status/1171126170789842944

(for those who can't read Spanish, some of the main and returning cast that filmed on the last day of shooting signed a card for the crew and people have basically matched one of the signatures to Michael Dorn. That goes along with someone letting it slip during an interview a few weeks ago that he'd been on set.)

Also, the same people have been snooping on the IMDB page, and found some interesting names/characters have popped up on the cast list:

-Graham Shiels as Tal Shiar agent (Tal Shiar is the Romulan intelligence agency)

-Barbara Eve Harris (from basically every show under the sun) as Captain Emily Bosch

-Lulu Wilson (from Annabelle and The Haunting of Hill House) as Kestra (which given her age and the fact that Kestra was Troi's dead sister's name, she's probably Riker and Troi's daughter)

Chelsea Harris doesn't have a character name yet but looks like she's playing a Trill who is involved with the main girl Picard is helping. There are also several younger versions of Picard's new crew so they're presumably doing some flashbacks to fill in the gaps for some of their backstories.

    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
