It will be hard for GL to gain any numbers when it is not aired everywhere. In some markets the only CBS soaps shown are Y&R B&B and ATWT. Also in other markets, GL is shown in the morning which is unusual for soap. With all of this, it should be in last place but it's not, so that's good.

It'd be interesting to know what GL's ratings would be like if they weren't being screwed over like they are.

Where I live, Y&R comes on at 10 in the morning, GL comes on at 1 in the afternoon. Y&R does pretty well in that slot, why wouldn't GL? If excuses were horses, GL would gallop off into the sunset.

GL has lost about a third of their contract players, has sets that many high school drama departments would politely decline to use, and does not air at all in some markets. However, the only soap that did a better job maintaining their viewership this year is B&B. Y&R has had the exact same drop in both HH and 18-49 as GL, what is the excuse for their limping gait?

There are more places that give GL the 10am timeslot than Y&R and more so, GL isn't shown in some areas. Do you know the ratings for your area? How are you so sure that Y&R is doing better?

Awwww...poor Guiding Light!! I think if that show was cancelled it would be a major travesty!!
