I am sure he was afraid he'd be out of job if Cane had gotten even darker. I think I read where he's been on the show for 14 years now. Members DramatistDreamer Posted February 2, 2018 Members Share Posted February 2, 2018 I think that Goddard relished Cane's turn as a dark hat because it gave him plenty of storyline on his own, aside from being part of a couple. JMO but I think he's saying what he's saying now to placate those Lane fans who were whining about his stint as a less than perfect husband.
