Members YRfan23
It's actually quite a shock to see Brenda Dickson on a recent SOD cover! it's almost like we went back 30 years ago! Please register in order to view this content
Members Paul Raven
Last weeks issue had a Genie Francis weight loss interview which read like an ad for Nutri Systems... which it probably was. Sad...
Members AlexElizabeth
On what planet is Nathan's paternity a "shocker"? We've known for a couple of years now that Faison was probably his father.
Members Taoboi
Wait! What? they went there? I would be shocked that Liesl kept that secret given her obsession with him. But it has been a while since I watched. I am also done with the RECASTS article myself.
Members vetsoapfan
I have a slight, morbid curiosity about their Best Recast choices. I can see it now: Susan Batten as Connor Walsh! Wesley Ann Pfenning as Alice Frame! Charity Rahmer as Belle Black! Kathleen Tolan as Mary Ryan Fenelli! Ann Hamilton as Mindy Lewis! Jayne Bentzen as Nicole Travis Drake! Darius McCrary as Malcolm Winters! Kelli Marony as Tina Clayton! Patricia Everly as Peggy Brooks! EEEK!
Members ~bl~
They didn't even include some of the shows you listed vetsoapfan. OLTL was mentioned, but not the other shows you had listed..
Members Soapsuds
I can't remember the last time I picked up an SOD. I use to buy the SOW mag instead. And only when it had a great cover/story I like which was mainly ATWT topics. I think the last SOW I bought and still own is the one where Diego is killed during his wedding to Lily. All the suspects are on the front cover with Lily pointing a gun at the camera.
Members KMan101
+1 I loved SOW. I liked SOD back in the day too but man I haven't bought an issue in a very very very long time. +
Members Soapsuds
They had some great covers back in the day. And that Lily one is when FMB and Lorraine Broderick took over the show and brought back Holden. Too bad the good writing/casting didn't last long. Members KMan101
Yeah I really loved when SOW would do a good cover. I miss those days Please register in order to view this content Now we get photoshopped head-shots. SOD just pales.
Members YRfan23
LOL This made my day! Please register in order to view this content what year did Y&R have this second Peggy? was she basically a temp??
Members vetsoapfan
Patricia Everly was hired to play Peggy Brooks on Y&R in 1979. The original actress in the role, Pamela Peters, had walked out, so this was not originally meant as a temporary replacement. Everly was not a good actress, however, and TPTB quickly let her go. Eventually, the show managed to lure Peters back and she returned to Y&R until the character was written off permanently.
