Don't we see this same damn interview every year?

I'm waiting for the interview where Corday just says, "I really just don't know anymore."

Why can't he just be honest and say that James Reilly ruined Days beyond repair? Days has been trying to get back to normal, but at this point, it doesn't know what normal is.

I don't think that is the case at all. If anyone ruined Days, it was Langan. But he didn't either because it showed sparks of life after him too under B&C.

B&C were their best HWs and they dumped them. I forgot who got the job after they were fired.

I don't think DAYS is beyond repair, but I do think Corday, NBC and Sony don't have the patience to make the changes necessary for growth.

Higley

I loved B&C!

I don't think Langan was bad, I rather enjoyed his work. Outside of Virtual Eden, and maybe a couple other things, I liked his show. It had a kind of primetime soap appeal. I at least liked characters then. That was also the last good soap teen scene.

I know the cheese stands alone.

I ended up hating Langan but I did like a lot of what he did when I think about it. Although his DAYS was extremely mean spirited and I think it did a disservice to a lot of characters. But looking back I'd take it over Higley or the last year-ish of Tomsell.

I think characters were written true to form, and there was always something happening. Langan was probably the last time I couldn't miss a day.

During the NBC Executive Session of the Television Critics Association (TCA) annual summer tour, President of NBC Entertainment, Jennifer Salke, voiced her support of the network’s last soap standing — and its new writing team, headed by Ron Carlivati. “We’re feeling really great about the new team in place and we’re evaluating it as it goes,” Salke told the audience. “Right now, we’ve been so focused on the fall and making all these [new] shows. We love the new DAYS and we hope it stays on the schedule forever … Everyone’s feeling really good.”

this is from soap digest. This is very encouraging news as shes thrilled about Ron Carlivati. Very encourgaed.

This woman probably has absolutely no clue what's going on with DAYS whatsoever. All she knows is that there are new people writing the show and she couldn't give a sh!t less. I don't blame her.
