His character's relationship with that computer nerd on criminal minds comes to mind. I actually think something similar is what they are going for with Devon and Mariah. He definitely had sex appeal but in terms of acting ability, he wasn't even in line with the likes of Nathan Purdee, Phillip Morris or KSJ. If Y&R is trying to use SM as the model for every new Black male character that comes on this show, then they are setting themselves up for definite failure, oh wait... Hevon will probably be reunited by Christmas but Y&R will stick with the D/H/M "love triangle" through at least until the summer. Because Winters Wednesdays are Winters Wednesdays for a reason.
