Figured Y&R would go up with SB/Dylan's exit story culminating, plus John McCook's appearance.

B&B down but holding steady (curious to see next week with the new Spectra generation shenanigans).

GH couldn't hang on to its increase from the previous week.

Sigh Days...

Thanks Toups!

GH has lost nearly half a million viewers.  And last week it was a pretty bad comp to LY too.  I guess their ratings are not quite the success story some would have us believe.

What all these shows seem to have in common is the fact that by and large, their viewers aren't getting any younger, at this point. Their obvious blindspots for writing characters in their 20s and 30s has turned into a genuine deficiency over the last decade.

It's going to be interesting to see how long, in general, these shows can sustain what they have when they are attracting relatively few young viewers, at this point. I assume they'll be able to tread water for a few more years (especially shows like Y&R) but without changes in their writer's rooms and their decision-making process, things are bound to drop out at some point.
