Members BetterForgotten
I'm not watching, but whether people like him or not, Pratt's Y&R seems to be a hit with general viewers for reasons that make no sense to me.
Members edgeofnik
B&B finished with highest viewers since 2005-06! That's pretty amazing for both shows considering the platform changes in viewing habits.
Members JONNYSBRO
Why is Pratt YR so high rated? It's like your watching Independence Day horribly reviewed movie that has huge box office or Pearl Harbor with Ben Affleck. Jill is sitting happy she is in her fourth year at YR. I am anxious to see GH ratings. The show is getting good great mob drama. It really reminds of Guza. I swear Guza is consulting with Jean because it has zero Ron tone to it all. Members dragonflies
Uh it like Guza GH is NOT a good thing
Members Soapsuds
Hmmm…both show are at their worse right now yet both have the highest viewers in a few years? Viewers must be thirsty for soaps cause whats on both soaps isn't very good right now especially Y&R.
Administrator Toups Posted September 24, 2015 Author Administrator Share Posted September 24, 2015 Those are the yearly numbers, not the weekly numbers. Even so, I don't remember both soaps having consistently high numbers for a long period to warrant those "highest since" numbers.
Members dragonflies
Y&R got 5.2 million viewers
Administrator Toups Posted September 24, 2015 Author Administrator Share Posted September 24, 2015 Yearly average, not for this week. Soaps don't gain 600-700 thousand viewers anymore. Plus nothing big happened. There were no big revelations.
Members dragonflies
I don't get what people see in Pratt's Y&R that makes them want to watch
Administrator Toups Posted September 24, 2015 Author Administrator Share Posted September 24, 2015 They're not watching as much anymore. The lows in demos are within view.
Members edgeofnik
One item that's factored into those yearly numbers are the L+7 numbers that we rarely see. Weekly Daytime Nielsen ratings only reflect L+Same Day. So if you binge watch M-W on W night - only the W episode is counted for the weekly numbers. The other numbers are added to the L+3 and L+7, which are separate reports. I started to notice that they were tracking L+7 when DAYS issued releases for the quarter a couple of years ago. Members JONNYSBRO
Guza GH had brilliant moments in past. It was compelling Corinthos drama family. I think Ron got away from that. Nothing could be as bad the Nina pimping was which was plunging viewers. Riveting storyline is coming on out way we are so lucky.
