Interesting.    So they're going to acknowledge that Grandpa Shawn once existed?

Only NBC and DAYS could find the least appropriate day to celebrate the 'magic.' Tried to watch yesterday but could only make it through half of second scene of Jarlena. Watching two senior citizens having dinner is not what I call must watch TV. I so wish Dee was not handcuff by Drake. She deserves so much more.

I'm not sure I watched the same episode that was being promoted they only talked about these martins and

caroline saw Shawn hmmm is john a Martin or Julie's son?

I watched this episode but maybe Jason was given wrong information.  We got one flashback montage and Shawn projected onto a mirror.  Did that story Julie discussed actually happen?   I assume it did for whatever reason there is no flashback available.   Not sure what Maggie remembered.    Most of the show was about everyone else.  Oh well.

I hear they edited out the other flashbacks due to time constraints

I just hope that if flashbacks are used, they are used for a good reason and not just dropped in to try and pull at the audience's heartstrings. I'd prefer they be used to advance story and not be used as some hollow plot point to showcase that Josh and Dena supposedly know history.

The story that Julie discussed happened although she left out some important details, such as the murdered man, David Martin, was the father of her son (David Banning), and that Susan and David Martin's baby died (which prompted Susan to shoot David).
