July 2, 201510 yr Member YR hit over 5 million, damn! http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/the-talk-cbs-daytime-ratings-milestones-1201533340/ Edited July 2, 201510 yr by dragonflies
July 2, 201510 yr Author Administrator Those numbers are averages from March 30-June 28, 2015. They didn't hit 5 million for the week.
July 2, 201510 yr Author Administrator I think this is the 2nd last nail in Carlivati's coffin. If he hits a new low in upcoming weeks, I think that will be the last nail. Either way, he's in deep trouble right now.

July 2, 201510 yr Member But the show is so much better than Y&R!!! (that is literally the only real defense I see from the "Cartini" devotees now)
July 2, 201510 yr Member GH deserves these numbers. People acting wildly out of character for plot points du jour which have zero lasting impact, other plot points that draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag for eternity (hi, Jakeson!), and no romance of any depth to speak of. And the pairings we do have are, for the most part, all chemless and repulsive. Keep on keepin' on, though, FV and RC!
July 2, 201510 yr Member I agree. ABC can't be happy with this at all That depends, I guess. Does ABC want GH or will it allow the numbers to sink low enough to justify cancellation?
July 2, 201510 yr Member That depends, I guess. Does ABC want GH or will it allow the numbers to sink low enough to justify cancellation? I think they might try a new HW then if that flops the show is a goner. JMO

July 2, 201510 yr Member With these ratings, during the wrap up of Tony Geary's well publicized departure storyline(you would think some people out there would tune back in. It put me to sleep on Wednesday...and that rarely happens)...I think between the ratings dip, the backlash about continuity, and the overall state of the show, a pink slip is in order....

True, but you're thinking logically. We know ABC is in short supply where logic is concerned.
July 2, 201510 yr Member I know, but I've been praying novenas (as my father used to say) that RC would be out...
July 2, 201510 yr Member Jean Passanante as head writer is exactly what the doctor ordered. Let her continue her cable TV smart tv and give her free reigns.
July 3, 201510 yr Member Jean Passanante as head writer is exactly what the doctor ordered. Let her continue her cable TV smart tv and give her free reigns. Short of a zombie apocalypse with Zombie Bill Bell or Doug Marland coming back to write for GH (and even as zombies, I bet they would do a better job!), I don't think there is anyone in the current mix who knows how to craft a decent soap anymore. They have either died or went on to write books or for other genres, etc. Not that I'd keep Ron, even so. Shallow camp, plot points with no story to back them up, and no couples to root for are killing this show. When some are nostalgic for Guza (not here, but it's happening!), you know it's bad.
