I'm surprised that Gillian Spencer considered the AW treasure hunt story a highlight.Maybe from a writer's perspective the chance to write an 'adventure' story is a change from the usual and therefore more memorable.

There's along list of soap actors who also dabbled in writing. Maybe this thread can discuss this topic.

I never knew Marland had ever acted on the soaps before. Thanks for sharing!

Don't forget Roger Newman who wrote starred on GL as Ken Norris for several years before ending up writing on GL for a good decade before writing Passions.
