PAUL TELFER RETURNS TO "DAYS" NEXT WEEK, AND THIS TIME, HE'S STICKING AROUND...

Paul Telfer, who last aired in early February as Damon (Victor's minion who shot Clyde in the park), is back next week in a new role. On Tuesday, Telfer tweeted a photo of himself and said this: "Prepare yourself America. You're just a week away from meeting this guy."

There was a casting call for a contract role named "Ares" (casting call name), set to begin taping in October, which stated this: "A gorgeous, rugged 35-40-year-old Hispanic or Greek man to play Ares. Formidable, mysterious, charming and confident.” (Telfer is Scottish, but that doesn't necessarily rule him out).

UPDATE: Soap Opera Digest has confirmed that Telfer's new character will be named Xander.

Spencer said awhile back that he did 16 episodes as Derrick, and those have all aired now.

That's always a possibility. I haven't seen what the SOD casting blurb says myself yet, just someone mentioned that he's called Xander. Perhaps there is more info in the SOD issue that hit stands today in some areas.

I hope it's Sonny's brother Alexander. It's pretty stupid none of them are on the show.
