This is beyond tangential but I was looking up some stuff on A Different World, and Debbie Allen's somewhat diplomatic anecdote about her original plan to keep Lisa Bonet on the show has some interesting notes about Cosby and his 'controlling' attitude, I think. This interview was conducted in 2011.

He might not have ever actually assaulted Lisa Bonet, but I do think he had predatory designs on her at the very least. I doubt Lisa will ever say anything one way or another, though.

He wouldn't be the first rapist to skate on a technicality. That being said, even if he does (which I am not convinced he will) he has been stripped of every honor given him and everyone knows him for what he is now: A monster. That is never going away.

ThinkProgress has a take.

The other day I actually heard someone say: "Even if he did it, he's an old man...just let him live his life now."

The women he did this to will live with it for the rest of their lives, including when they are "old". If they have to face that pain and burden, he should have to face the pain, he should have to face the punishment.

People are so dumb.
