November 30, 201411 yr Member Oh Lord, now I feel bad about that backbone comment. Very sorry to hear about his loss, no parent should have to bury a child. Just very very sad. Edited November 30, 201411 yr by DramatistDreamer
December 1, 201411 yr Member My quote had nothing to do with whether or not Drucilla should be recast or the character brought back, it had to do with Neil's currently dismal storyline and whether KSJ could have shown some backbone a few years ago and lobbied for a stronger written character. Don't misuse my words and draw some ridiculous conclusion from it and then go off on some tangent. I have no problem with you writing an opinion but at least defend it properly--don't insult other people's intelligence by (mis)using someone else's random quote that has nothing whatsoever to do with what you're talking about. Go back and read the thread. Overreact much? I wasn't drawing any conclusion from your post except the obvious one that VR was calling into comment on a show where she was no longer employed. She has done this a lot, writing books on the subject, giving interviews and tweeting. My point and my opinion is that she should move along and the show should move along and recast her. Would like to add my condolences to the St John family after the death of their son. So tragic and heartbreaking.
December 1, 201411 yr Member Overreact, that's rich coming from someone who used my quote and then added girl bye & STFU in the proceeding sentence. You've got some chutzpah. I may overreact as you call it but at least I know how to use the quote feature properly. I can teach you how if you'd like. I admitted that it was harsh to say the backbone comment about KSJ, in light of recent events it feels wrong to have said it. At least I can admit when I'm wrong. You should learn to do the same. December 1, 201411 yr Member I personally see nothing wrong with VR commenting on racism in daytime in any venue. Who else would talk about it but the people who lived it?
December 2, 201411 yr Member Hopefully, someday people will look back at these times and think our non treatment of the mentally ill was barbaric. Thank you! Absolutely. We're not that many year from the times where people would lock up loved ones in mental institutions. It's awful and I applaud KSJ and family for having the courage to tell the truth about his ILLNESS - no different than cancer, etc. No one CHOOSES to get a mental illness.
December 2, 201411 yr Member I'm sorry, I know lots of people do not agree, but i think Dru is not a character that can or should be recast. I get why she isn't on the show, but if not her then nobody should be in the role.
