Although I never saw the movie, I always wonder why Supergirl (1984) did poorly at the box office.

The movie is supposed to be awful, and Supergirl was never a big draw.

I've always liked her (the version up to the Crisis, anyway - I don't read most DC from after the Crisis), but I can't see this show doing well.

Mehcad Brooks has been cast as Jimmy Olsen. Wow. A tall, sexy, muscular Jimmy Olsen? And that voice....... Interesting!

I didn't realize Berlanti is involved in this. I tend to really like his shows.

That's an awful photo of Helen Slater (looks like a mug shot) but I'm happy they cast her. I've always liked her, and she was Supergirl, flop movie and all. It's a nice way to honor the past.
