Here's one potential return that surprises me - longtime genre vet Chris Mulkey (Hank Jennings), who's been in everything under the sun, has signed a non-disclosure arrangement along with the many other notified veterans. What that means I could not say.

I've always liked Mulkey, he's a hardworking dude who's been in everything you've ever seen, but he's a bit of a wild man IRL. IIRC, Peggy Lipton was furious with him for his improv in their final jailhouse scene (he grabbed her through the bars).

Full Q&A from Twin Peaks Fest 2015 last month, with Catherine E. Coulson (The Log Lady), Charlotte Stewart (Betty Briggs), Phoebe Augustine (Ronette Pulaski), Gary Hershberger (Mike Nelson), Jonny Leppell (Mrs. Tremond's Grandson in FWWM), Kimmy Robertson (Lucy Moran), Jan D'Arcy (Sylvia Horne), and our very own Ian Buchanan (Dick Tremayne).

Thanks.

Did Phoebe have much to say? Ronette has to be one of my favorite minor-but-not-minor TV characters of all time.

I haven't watched it all, but she speaks briefly early on. Watch for yourself!

From a new interview with Showtime president David Nevins:

One of Showtime’s most eagerly awaited new shows is the reboot of “Twin Peaks.” Nevins said the show would resolve questions raised by the first season.

He said: “It feels satisfying. If you’ve watched the first round, it answers questions. It’s an incredible journey and ends with definitiveness.”

Pretty sure the journalist means "first series," not season.

After weeks of waiting, Twede's Cafe in North Bend, Washington is finally undergoing renovations today as we speak to begin its transformation back into the Double R Diner after 24 years. Pix of the event as it happens are on Twin Peaks Archive's Twitter.

From the Dugpa forums:

A local business owner told me that a film crew shot in the middle of the night of a man on a horse on train tracks removing and putting his hat on/off repeatedly. Unknown who was filming but there you go.

Who knows?

More from TPA on-site in North Bend:

TPA's full location report of the setup in various locations around North Bend and Snoqualmie as it happened yesterday, with many pictures and lots of info.

A few tidbits here, but you should read it all:

Our first stop was the amazing 'Wild Hare Vintage' antique store at 8050 Railroad Ave SE in Snoqualmie. Why was it amazing? Because as we were there, it was pretty obvious that two Twin Peaks crew members were there buying up the place! The owners were careful not to reveal anything, but there were very friendly. Want to some Twin Peaks atmosphere? This is the place you need to head to pronto. You never know who you might run into. At this point I should mention something that Birchy brought to my attention. Across the street from The Double RR is a building with no sign on the door. The windows are blocked off and there was clearly activity going on inside there. It could be nothing, but one wonders if it could be the location production office. It's a mystery.

They also were on-scene at the Roadhouse (measuring rails for exterior filming), the former location for the police station, and were building a new fence for Ed and Nadine's house. More details at the link.

I believe there was also talk not long ago of one of the two locations used for the Palmer house (one for the series, one for FWWM) being brought back into play.

Nadine Hurley may have finally gone into business for herself. From the fabulous "Jerry Horne" at the Dugpa forums, who is constantly on the scene at the location:

Across the street from Twede's there is a building with a new sign that says "Run Silent, Run Drapes".

Voila!

Kyle MacLachlan has also, apparently, arrived in town. Maybe.

Meanwhile, Sherilyn Fenn has followed up on her veiled threat to go platinum blonde. It looks ridiculous to me. Hopefully it's either for the show or can be reversed, if it's a fit of pique. One never knows with her, but I don't think Lynch would abandon her.
