I have recently become addicted to this show. My favorite character is Lord Grantham, who is such a reassuring presence. I don't know if anybody else has noticed this, but I think that Hugh Bonneville looks and sounds a lot like Scott Pelley.

Bates is a really fascinating character. I wonder if he killed Anna's rapist.

I am intrigued by how nasty Thomas is. I wish that the Duke (with whom he had a homosexual affair in the pilot episode) was brought back.
