I was glad she acknowledged the age thing. I think she's working the role and doing very well from what I've seen - in many ways it's being done as Blair with the brakes off, since the character had to play softer foil to the Todds for a lot of years, maturing when both of them often didn't - but the age was an issue. Although it's considerably less so for me now after seeing the linked picture of Charlotte Ross, who resembles Lindsay Lohan.

She can talk up the nice girl playing her daughter but I can't care about her. DAYS always drives their really amazing young talent away with bland upon bland stories.

So much word on driving away younger talent with bland after bland story. I'm sure Casey will bolt as soon as his contract is up.

I keep expecting Freddie Smith to announce his exit any day.

Anyway ... good interview with Kassie. I liked it. Kassie comes off so well, like always, and I love her attitude and how she's not afraid to talk about things. Glad she's enjoying her time at DAYS. I'm certainly enjoying her. She's added a lot of life into the show, IMO, and I like her chemistry with Reeves and she actually helps make Daniel somewhat watchable. I still hate the man but she works with him.

That interview didn't do anything for me in regards to her character of Eve. From her description of Eve, she just sounds so incredibly one dimensional, with shoddy motivations, weak and uninteresting subtext and inspiration as a character. Not much of a role, considering. I don't think that bodes very well for future storylines for the character. It reminds me of the situation that just took place with Mark Collier, they brought in a daytime veteran had him in the Dannifer storylines as a temporary obstacle and then he was thrown away like garbage. I don't think this will necessarily happen with Eve/Kassie but the fact that Eve doesn't seem to be progressing 5-6 months from now into next year, doesn't sound good. It doesn't sound like she has anything ahead of her outside of revenge against Jennifer Horton.

Jennifer was shackled to a revolving door of reappearances from the other half of her super couple, and now she is in a relationship with one of the pets of the show. So Jennifer is in a bit different category, regardless of her inactivity as a character. She's also considered somewhat of a legacy totem pole for various reasons and has deeper relationship with the series. From what I'm gathering from this interview it feels like Eve is going to be a passing obstacle for Dannifer and little else, doesn't look like anything is going to happen outside of that, and if that is all she is I feel she won't be around for long.

    • I have a very different view of Dano. For one thing, she like me, loves her little dogs. Another thing, of course she is effusive, outgoing but she is also very vulnerable & she used to have her Frank, her mother & Vivian who officially was her publicist (I think) but she was so much more. Now, they are all gone. Well, except for her always having a pair of her little dogs. But, if I were going to think in your terms, what I would think is "cool aunt". Because this lady is really one cool dame. Here is one of my favorite views of her https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGecq8rJS4w/

    • I found it to be a rather odd way to deal with a character departing for parts unknown.
    • Today reminded me as to why I’m a little disappointed in the name that the new Pope chose

Luckily, EJ and Johnny, and pretty much every other character saved today’s episode.  I didn’t expect Javi to be the one to save Sarah though, and I don’t mind it at all, because if it means that Javi is finally going to get his own identity/character, away from his douchy bf, I’m all for it. Javi’s scenes would’ve been a lot better had it not been for him. EJ and Johnny were the best part of today. Their conversation hit a lot of important beats and I’m so looking forward to seeing them play out. And now that EJ knows that Johnny is going to work for Xander, that opens up another dynamic to their storyline and to the Kiriakis family storylines as well. Tying them all together could be really good. There are so many story possibilities that can come out of this. And I thought Carson Boatman did a pretty good job again too.  I also liked that Johnny was there to comfort Chanel after everything that happened with Sarah. They’re so good together. But I do have mixed feelings about Chanel possibly forgiving Johnny so quickly. Hopefully, the question that she asked him at the end of today leads to more conflict for the two of them.  And yeah, still no changes in Alex’s character lol
    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab this episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). I thought we had the full HD version of ep.3170 on the YouTube channel, but it appears they added the wrong episode but labelled it 3170.
    • I guess, according to Mike Manning in the Michael Fairman chat, he was almost Derek
