I think that is Steve's ex-wife, Karen Werner, slapping him. Or maybe they were married at this time, I don't know -- it's before I started watching.

Why does a promo for a soap from 50 years ago look more interesting that most promo's for today's daytime soaps?

If you look over at TD thread on the Cancelled Soaps forum, some kind soul recorded the first Retro TV-aired episode and uploaded it to YT, and someone else posted it onto the thread. Very interesting!! I hope they continue to post more.
