A photo posted tonight during Alison Sweeney's last day of taping shows the fireplace mantel at the DiMera Mansion in the background, and what looks to possibly be EJ's photo with an urn right next to his photo. Not saying one thing has to do with the other (and some think the urn might just be a vase), but this could mean EJ's exit is a death (and/or faked death). I've posted a side-by-side photo of what the mantel looked like this week on the show vs. what it looked like during today's taping (for episodes airing in late October/early November)...

It wasn't me who noticed it. Someone else mentioned it on another board when the photo was tweeted. But I did make the side-by-side photo for comparison, so I'll take a partial "great catch."

I'd rather it be real for the time being and Sami goes off the show as a single mother not attached to a man for once. Sami's entire being since she's been on DAYS has consisted of her trying to obtain a man and keep him. I'd rather Sami go off the show trying to find and better herself alone.

Who's to say EJ's ashes are supposed to be inside that urn? I mean, they could be Sami's.

I could take almost any "ending" for Sami that doesn't involve living "brainwashed ever after" with her rapist. At least I could respect her if she finally killed him.
