Ashleigh Brewer Joining B&B

It was rumored that John O' Hurley would join B&B in the mid-nineties.

Believe it or not Stephanie's sister "Lauren" had been mentioned in 1987.

Jessica's younger sister had been mentioned by Maggie Forrester when she first came to town.

The Forrester family tree is way too complicated; no room for "John's daughter".

You see why you don't kill off family members without any reason Brad? This should have been Phoebe.

During the Angela storyline in 1987, Stephanie lied to her family that she was visiting her sister Lauren in order to spend some time with her sick daughter.

When Maggie Forrester showed up she mentioned "Jessica's younger sister".

Tawney Moore also talked about Amber's younger sister whom we never saw.

So basically Bell wants Steffy but without JMW actually coming back, he invents Ivy and will probably write her just like Steffy. Oy.

LOL! Sounds about right. Won't be the least bit surprised.

Speaking of, is Steffy still showing up in the opening credits? I know they've made some changes somewhat recently but it seems she's still there.

yeah she's still in the opening which makes no sense. She hasn't been on contract in a year and has had only one appearance since last summer, this past December for a few episodes. She's not around enough to even be considered recurring.

Is it too late to suspect that ''Ivy'' is not just a look-a-like Steffy replacement but actually a Steffy recast?

She shot her first scenes in Paris (which is were Steffy is). + Ivy will be interesting in Liam...

The last time they updated their opening was right when JMW briefly returned. I think they just don't want to give up hope for the audience or themselves. Meanwhile, Texas Battle is supposedly still considered part of the cast but he was edited out of the opening a long time ago.

I enjoyed their individual scenes with other characters before they all came together at the Pub to commiserate over their relationships with Sami. I thought that was broken down pretty well. I just wish it had gone on a little longer. And I actually found it kinda funny too lol it seemed more mature than what we're used to. That's the kind of humor that should be on a soap. But I'm not really sure about all this talk of Dante Vitali and Sami's engagement though, especially since it doesn't look like Ali Sweeney is coming back anytime soon. What's the point of it all if we're (probably) not going to see it? It also looked like today was the first round of Brady vs. Xander as well lol I enjoyed their fight, and I'm interested in seeing this storyline play out. Even though I'm sure that Sarah will ultimately go back to Xander in the end, I'd like to see what happens along the way, and how they and everyone around them are affected by this. Btw, Theo and Jada? Idk. I still think he had the most chemistry with Arianna. And he was a bit of a dick too. It also seemed a little out of character for Jada to be so OK with him being such a dick  And though Alex and Stephanie were very boring again and need much better conflict than this book stuff, I am interested in the mystery of who's targeting Alex.  And yeah, I know this is a nitpick, but why is the Square still open after the gala? Isn't it supposed to be really late at night?
    • In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.

    • Frat Boy Jr.'s reaction to seeing Luna was just awful acting. It was so bad that I started laughing.

Does anyone have screenshots of it?
    • Geez, I hadn't heard that Doctors story. HBS really did go through it.
    • No offense to the actors involved, but dear God in heaven: I don't know HOW viewers managed to get through that storyline with Maggie, Frank, Cal and baby Jill without running into oncoming traffic.  Then, to make matters worse, they dragged poor Diana into the mess!  I don't care WHO gets that damn baby!  Just wrap it up and move ON already!
    • Poor HBS.  To have to put up with Stephen Burleigh, who stuck his knee between her legs while rehearsing a love scene on THE DOCTORS, then told the director that's what he did with his wife; Kincaid, who had more hair on his chest and upper lip than Koko the Gorilla; Kale Browne, who taped his lines all over the OLTL studio floor, because he couldn't ever be bothered to [!@#$%^&*] memorize them; and Robert S. Woods, who apparently thought it was still 1979 and that he was still smolderingly sexy, so why should Bo Buchanan be stuck being in a happy marriage with Nora?  After all that, no wonder she jumped at the chance to play a lesbian on VENICE, lol.
    • @Maxim Thank you for the mini-review and clip from several pages ago. I appreciate you using the Bo/Alex clip as them meeting again by this point was a real surprise to me. The scene has some layers, getting a glimpse of Alex genuinely wanting the best for Bo rather than gloating. I was disappointed it ended with Tina dragging her out of the room for some much less interesting sparring (I did enjoy Alex pointing out just how quickly Tina got over Cord).
