Among women 18-34, last night's #EmpireFOX did a 5.5 rating, more than the *combined" W18-34 numbers for ABC, CBS & NBC from 9-10.

Anika can't really go head to head with Cookie, so it looks like she's going to try and use Porsha to get at Cookie.

Jamal isn't all that bold and brave, it appears. He did exactly what Lucious wanted him to do and that was be pretentious.

I was glad Andre threatened Vernon for putting his hands on him.

Courtney Love was good, I enjoyed her character. Very representative of those artists that crack up later in the careers.

I understand Cookie and Hakeem's relationship is strained, but her treatment of him and the competition with her sons is kind of disturbing. She acts as if she hates him. That is not how this relationship should be developing. Fix this!

I can't wait to see the last episode ratings. It got to be in the 12 millions. I can't believe they use AI as a lead in. They need to get rid of AI then reboot 21 Jump Street or New York Undercover.

Cookie and Hakeem's relationship is what it is. I dont think it needs to be fixxed anytime soon. She already has the love of the older two. Hakeem provides some conflict and i think they will bond sooner or later. I do agree that I dont like how she's pitting Jamal against him but Lucious is just as much to blame for that. Its more of a power play between the parents and the kids unfortuantely are collateral damage

Yes, that is what I'm saying. The look she gave Hakeem when she walked off with her fav, Jamal, was not written very well. This young man is not some joe competing with her son. Hakeem is her son, and while I don't expect her to kiss his ass, I do think she needs to keep trying. If Hakeem is a mean little !@#$%^&*], Cookie needs to look in the mirror. She didn't go to jail on trump up charges, bitch was a drug dealer. SHE is the reason Hakeem didn't have a mother, so he has a right to have an attitude. I was not happy with what I saw yesterday because it did Cookie no favors. Be bad ass because those are my favorite characters, but don't give the audience a reason to hate you. It just wasn't right, and I hope this is fixed STAT!

I find it hilarious that American Idol was supposed to help Empire and Empire is two full points ahead of them in 18-49. AI has a 2.7 to Empire's 4.7. Please believe Empire will be moving to 8pm in the fall.

She has kept trying. Remember her conversation with him outside the men's room? But last night Hakeem was drunk, sloppy and focused only on what he wanted or needed. There was no point in trying to talk to him.

maybe not love, but he doesnt have her contempt. I think she and Andre's interactions have been fine. Not perfect, but obviously not hostile like hakeem
