Oh well GH is still been the most stable through spring fever. Very strong April for them and up from last years big anniversary episodes. Positioned quite well into may with the nurses ball. GH has been stable through August 2013. It's like 8 strong months of ratings. Who cares about Emmys when dollars and cents in network heads pocketbooks is all they care about.

GH is a mess but I think it has a lot more going on than Y&R which i'm still 10 episodes behind. Say what you want about MAB but her demos were never this low....especially the prized demo.

Given the choice between MAB's last year at Y&R (very B-A-D) and the current Y&R, I'd pick the current Y&R, hands down. Yes it's boring and yes it's mediocre (on a good day) writing.

Too bad TPTB *think* these are the only two choices - bad or boring. whistling.jpg

Get rid of Passante and Altman. Bring back Alden and Bibel.

We have stated over and over again our reasons for being uphappy with Y&R. Perhaps the viewers reflected in the ratings who have tuned out feel like we do? It's easier to paint us as just negative though. I know...... whistling.jpg

I guess it's hard to be objective about the writers when you aren't.

Jean has only been at the helm since end of December. Give her more time. She's a seasoned vet with tons of experience. 22 consecutive years in the biz is a long time and an Emmy winner. CBS wouldn't be employing her if she didn't have the resume or vast experience. It takes time to make big changes to a show. Y and R was a bit boring for awhile. It's not disgusting or offensive as it was under MAB.

In all honesty, Johnny, you want all of us to be as grateful as you are just to have a few soaps left. Sorry, some of us are just not wired that way. We want a good show and everything that entails, period! And while your passion is great, it does not make sense to champion garbage.

    • The counts seem small even for B&B. Thanks for posting!
    • Sooo Nick is inviting Sharon to France for this Dumas party thing. The same place they reconnected years ago during the Shick/Phick years. I wonder if it’s going to be on location? I’m going to assume not. I’m sure Y&R doesn’t have that kind of budget anymore.
    • Agree. The catfights at the clothing store alone...lol.   That's how I feel about Teresa as well. Cheryl I feel seems to blend much better with Sara's breakdowns, but I definitely love her dialogue no matter who she is with.  They also forget replies about missing plot points and theories about why they might be missing so...   YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS   Oh how that scene lives rent free in my head and when it pops up online I will always watch.
    • Episode #62 Thurs May 29 US, Dani arrived at the bar at closing time and used her Dupree name to request that the bartender serve her even though it was past closing time.  Then Doug walked in and Dani convinced the bartender to serve him too.  They were both drowning their sorrows, and the scene switched to Vanessa/Joey having sex on the card table. Then no followup.  Did Dani and Doug talk? Or... ? Where did Doug go? When the next episode started, it was the next day and Dani was meeting with Pamela, and Pamela arranged for some hot guy to date Dani, but Dani wasn't interested.
    • So I'm seeing cuz the catch-up has been brutal. All I can do (besides look at fashion) is smh.
    • Wow. What an episode. Deidre truly broke my heart today. Not much else to say. Just an incredible love story ending.    I’m amazed they couldn’t or didn’t try go get either Claire actress while both of her grandfathers are on death’s door. Hope sensing John had passed was a nice heartbreaking touch. The rest of the week is going to be so hard.
    • -- The fashions are at least something to talk about, because we're definitely not getting any story. I mean, this stuff is dreadful. -- I do like how they're dressing Nikki. Its hugely different from before, but I'll take it. -- At least she doesn't look like Ashley, who's dressed like a clinically-depressed Cruella DeVille. -- Nick without a jacket just looks odd. -- I see Mark Grossman again gained about 15 lbs. when he was away on vacation. The sharp cheekbones are gone and the double chin is back. Hate to be mean, but I hope he loses the weight. -- All that talk about all Claire did to plan that "party." Excuse me? There's nothing go on, and outside of some tacky Happy Birthday signage and tablecloths from Kohls, I don't know what they're talking about.
