I am so sorry to hear this. Drug addiction is a bitch. Some people are fortunate to survive it and others are lost. Being a celebrity is irrelevant.

WHAT!?! That's insane and incredibly sad. I was just watching him in the new Hunger Games movie and thinking about how great of an actor he was.

I have watched just about all of his work. From Flawless to Capote to Before The Devil Knows You're Dead, and he never disappoints! One of the best characters actors ever! I will watch Before The Devil...tonight.

Such a tragedy. Sober for 20 years and then falls off? I can't imagine :(

Moments like this are reminders of how important it is for addicts to have support systems and not to just be shamed. I hope people might see this tragedy (and I do think it's a tragedy - I know some on Twitter have gotten very indignant that it's not a "real" tragedy) and remember there's no time limit for someone to fall off the wagon, and to keep an eye on those you love who are going through what he did.
