January 26, 201412 yr Member I was under the impression they had all simply resigned themselves to his being scummy but part of their lives at that point. He did !@#$%^&*] Claudia before he left.
January 26, 201412 yr Member Rick Hearst charisma challenged, thanks I needed a good laugh Right?! I still remember how much chemistry he and Sarah Brown had when she was Claudia. I thought those two characters really worked together in a sick, twisted way. Much more so than Claudia and Sonny. They never should have stuck her with him over Ric, especially after these scenes. http://youtu.be/9q20VN0uZfA Sweetie, you do not gif slap me. Edited January 26, 201412 yr by MrPrezident
January 26, 201412 yr Member Guza's obsession with Sonny ruined that potential Claudia and Ric pairing. Those two were ridiculously hot together.
January 27, 201412 yr Member Like this show needs MORE people, although I'm curious to see what Ric will bring. Is Alexis finally getting a storyline? I honestly haven't missed her overheating on air and looking like a hot mess. I liked Ric too, also minus the panic room stuff. And I hope he can make Molly tolerable finally. She's so painful to listen to. But again, ugh, more people joining this show. And I hate saying UGH to Rick Hearst. I think Frank and Ron hurriedly trying to remodel Hailey Pullos and Molly into an all-things-to-all-people teen queen a la Starr Manning was a horrible disaster, and I don't think she's suited for that kind of story. But she is clearly talented - she shows more spirit in that ad during the commercial breaks than on the show - and if they stopped giving her forced, overnight-romance teen dreck with Rafe and Taylor (not counting T.J., who is another very talented, very wasted young actor, but his story sucks) and gave her something real with some depth I think she'd do well. Hence, I'm here for her running afoul of her crazy, very manipulative father. That's something organic, and Ric's twisted depths are vast and insidious. THIS

Based on the reactions I've seen on various boards the only thing he's more inept at writing than romance is emotional father/daughter reunions. Robert and Robin. Maxie and Frisco. Sam and Julian. Silas and Kiki. Shall I go on?
January 28, 201412 yr Member I'm not disputing any of that. No reason I can't enjoy Hearst while he's here. It's not like they can mangle Ric. That character was basically conceived mangled - you can't possibly make him sicker than he is.

With the hack, it's always best to temper expectations.

January 29, 201412 yr Member Nope, he will be connected to FrankenTodd or Kaka. Unless he slaughters them with a machette, even ric can make them viable character. JL is wasted on franco, anyone else would also be Ric as Victor's lawyer could be awesome.
