Members VirginiaHamilton
New year, new UOs (or old ones)... I'll start by saying... 1. Anyone who considers that showkilling bootleg Janet Wood bitch as any kind of effective EP's opinion is null and void. 2. Anyone that can take time out of their day to 'hate watch' a show deserves to be mocked by the show's staff, cast, and network execs (including those that I can't stand) for all time for their delusional entitlement. 3. For all the talk about those who rail against those who tell them to stop watching if they hate a show much and claim that they'll be the ones to beg them to come back, those haters will be the actual ones holding up the SOS signs and spearheading those petitions. 4. 'Bland' and 'boring' are code words that the majority of (non-) POC viewers feel threatened by a POC character whose mere presence threatens their raggedy white favorites (especially for prominent airtime), yet can't quite rag on their looks or acting. Members DRW50
For a minute I thought the last was about Sabrina. Is it? Agreed 100%. I loathe that term. It's a way for people to not have to admit they genuinely enjoy something that it isn't cool for them to enjoy.
Members ajsp35801
Preach...it's so obvious! And many times the bland and boring tag is ridiculous considering the one they love so much, I.e. Victoria Newman.
Members chicklitsandfantasies
There are certain characters of color who I feel do fit the terms bland and boring but some use it for every character that comes on the show with skin darker than olive. Another favorite is wooden.
Members MoTheGreat
I don't see how somebody is bland or boring when they are only seen once a year. Now if they are seen 4 days out of a month then maybe you can say that person is bland & boring. & that's a big maybe.

Members EricMontreal22
I am sure at some point I've used the term hate-watch on here, but I've grown to hate it too. I'll freely admit to complaining about certain shows on here but there's obviously some enjoyment I get out of actually watching them, or I would just drop them (as I have.) Members PJA
Here's some of mine. 1. I don't think Sharon Newman's character was rewritten. She's always been the epitome of selfish who just got worse as she got older. 2. I think Victor Newman has served his purpose and they should do a Dallas style storyline...but instead it would be "Who killed Victor?" instead of "Who shot Victor." 3. I never liked HT as Victoria and prefer AH in the role...but I loved HT as Katie Logan (don't watch B&B anymore) 4. I could take or leave Jill Abbott. I don't mind her on the show but don't care when she's not on.(That might change if the writers do this Chancellor storyline right but I won't hold my breath.) 5. MAB's Y&R was much better than JFP's. (Most posters on this board would disagree...but don't think my opinion is that unpopular outside of this board.) 6. If they are going to bring back one of Cane's parents it should be Genevieve and Colin should be in prison for what he did. 7. I liked the character Tucker McCall and wish he would have stayed. (Maybe I should say love to hate lol) 8. Even though I only started watching GH in May, I find it more interesting than Y&R which I have been watching for decades and that's despite the fact that I think GH is more plot driven, badly directed and doesn't have the caliber of actors Y&R has and their pacing is worse than Y&R's. 9. Sonny is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. 10. And so is Carly. 11. Please kill Heather Webber off for real....I know she's been on the show for a while but the writing for her is so over the top and unbelievable. She just comes and goes out of the hospital as she pleases.
Members Antoyne
Will Horton is a ridiculously disappointing character as the child of Lucas and Sami, with Kate and Marlena as grandmas.
Members ajsp35801
Most complaints I see about JFP is not about her storytelling but about that particular posters favorite being let go or not renewed (MS, BM, MM), a favorite pairing being broken up or getting story they disapprove of (billy cheating), hirings and/or new characters being given story (Dylan, Tyler, Hilary, Kelly, etc) that gets in the way of their faves airtime or pairing...so I take griping with a grain of salt unless they are particularly talking about storylines, scripts, pacing, music, sets, etc....even then there is an underlying bitterness which goes back to the previous reasons. Members ajsp35801
And yet the characters without melanin in their skin seem to escape the tag from the same viewers no matter how equally bland and boring they are...it's not really about whether the characters of color are boring but moreso about the low tolerance MOST viewers seem to have when it comes to them. Folks have no problem labeling Devon boring, but Noah "just needs better story".

Members PJA
They both need better storylines. Bryton is an emmy award winning actor so he could definitely shine if given the right material.
Members chicklitsandfantasies
Devon is boring. So is Noah.
Members Cheap21
^^^ I've always found Devon to be boring and it honestly puzzles me how he's lasted so long especially being a black character. Soaps tend to have no problem getting rid of them I liked the last Kristina on GH and wish she'd come back. She'd probably work well with the new cop Nathan that just joined. Sonny's daughter dating a cop haas potential to be interesting especially with her now being an adult
