Y&R: January 2014 Discussion Thread

Why is Avery unloading all this information about her past with Dullan to Leslie?

She only came over to pick up some legal papers which Avery failed to read because she was busy trying to impress Dullan. Leslie didn't even act like she cared when Avery took her trip down memory lane.

Not sure why JFP won't cut her losses with Avery. What a worthless being!

I like Dylan :)

Billy Miller wasn't fired, Y&R and Billy couldn't come to terms on his contract, so he left.

Add to that, Miller was offered a pay increase. Sad when he's mediocre at best and others in the industry have to take cuts.

But things worked out as they should. Fans are getting someone who will appreciate the show and not use it as an ATM.

Good grief, what mistreatment? Yes, basically he was fired, but he could have agreed to the show's terms and stayed.

They say she was underhand in the way she hired DT back. Even though she hired DT when BM already rejected the money and contract they offered him.

So are they hinting at a Carmine look alike?

I'm so tired of Nikki and her whining and her damsel in distress act.

I'm actually able to tolerate Cricket now though.

IS is going to be on Bones

I figure Carmine is alive. I don't see this going the lookalike route. Is Womack his brother or what? This convoluted, tedious story just won't end. Leslie and Neil are so very blah. Don't get married at all please. Somehow, I'd toss Leslie in bed with Nick once he kicks Sharon to the curb. But oh no they'll go back to Nick/Avery/Dylan, Zzzz. Summer being so tired is ridiculous to begin with and so is her being a model. Chelsea by Jabot huh. I ain't seen a blouse, skirt, etc. yet.

I think it was Chelsea's clothes Summer modeled in that photoshoot last year. She and Chloe spend a lot more time worrying about the happenings of her vagina then their job though.

I thought Summer was Ashley upon first glance today. The hair, makeup, and outfit.

Haven't watched this show in, I don't know, how many days but it doesn't sound like I'm missing much!

Maybe I'll tune back in when DT makes his appearance or whenever Y&R gets itself together.

I haven't watched in a few days because none of the people I care about are on. I will probably watch today because Neil and Leslie are on.

They still had Paul address the fact that he killed his son which was the most important part of that story. No one cares to see Daisy come back and Eva Longoria was never coming back to make it Isabella.

It's still sloppy writing to drop storylines because you can't be bothered to be creative enough to finish it.

Wow. BM has every right to ask for a better contract. It doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate the show.

Please! Miller had been using YR as an ATM for quite a few years and was trying to soak them for more money while looking for another job. He wanted to be off almost as much as he was on, and that was not in the best interest of the show. Time to cut him loose!

A gross exaggeration. He didn't want to be off more than he was on. He has every right to ask for more time off as others have. They didn't come to terms on the contract...he wasn't cut loose as you put it.

And you're presuming what's in someone's mind based on a contract dispute. You don't know how appreciative or unappreciative he is of having worked at Y&R.

And YR has every right to say that Miller's demands don't work for them. Although BM was not fired, YR did cut him loose by not agreeing to his demands. In any event, everything worked out as it should. He's gone and David Tom is back signed to a multi year contract, so they don't have to work stories around an actor who is gone to look for a better job. The writers can now write the stories and let them flow.

Were you watching the last two years? He was off more than anyone so no he didn't have a right to ask for more time off he was already off too much as it was and it hurt the writing and everyone who had to be in stories with him. And it was so obvious Y&R was not his number 1 focus.
