GH: On The Bubble Yet Again?

GH is doing amazing right now. This is their most improved year in the ratings in like 5 years right? I don't see it going anywhere right now.

This is hilarious. No one has anything positive to say about GH here. We can barely generate enough discussion for a monthly post. But ratings are good.

It's not the audience, it's the syndicators constantly pushing. Anderson and Marie are gone. Most talk shows flop. I remember all the hoopla about Kris Jenner having Kim, Kayne, and baby on her show. It was still kanned.

Most talk shows flop you say, and yet all they do is churn out more and more talk shows. Maybe it is time to bring the game show back, I don't know, just something other than a talk show. These networks deserve to see their audience erode every year.

Katie Couric will goto The View once the mandatory second year of Katie is over, then this show would replace Katie. I really don't see it replacing GH when GH has had good ratings.

^^THIS. Katie is going to go to the View when Barbara retires. If this Mo'Nique show has legs...it won't affect GH at all.

I don't watch the show more than catching maybe 5 mins every two months so I can't really speak to the quality of the show.. but just pointing out what I see in the ratings. I don't want to see GH (or any of our soaps) go anywhere! :)

Oh. I agree with you. I guess it just proves Frons was right all along. Training works.

Craptini have been proving pretty much all year that training works.

The Chew's ratings aren't that great. ABC Daytime could be considering replacing it, so GH isn't the only show in danger if ABC is developing new shows.

In the articles it states that ABC/Disney is working on the show to be done for syndication and not necessarily for the network itself. Syndication means it can air on any channel and/or network. ABC/Disney would be the ones who package the show to air anywhere. It similar to the Meredith Veria talk show being launched. NBC/Universal are behind it but that doesn't mean it will be airing on just NBC.

The Chews ratings are not far off of GH's according to TVByTheNumbers. They were at 2.6 million viewers compared to GH's 2.8, and the demos were similar as well.

The chew is doing fantastic the week before it had 2.75 million and now 2.6 million higher all my children's final year with a cheaper budget. I suspect Monique is replacing Katie and Katie takes Barbara's seat makes complete sense.
