Nice little read, thanks for posting. I can't say I disagree with much, although I think they went a little overboard with the praise at times in certain spots. It pretty much sums up all my current thoughts on the network soaps.

I've enjoyed Days all year and it's the best it has been in years but I'd still only grade it a B with some of the sweeps months earning an A grade. If people watching all the soaps think it is the best stuff on air, then oy vey the others must be bad. This is not incentive for me to start watching the others again. Current Days is not a yardstick for brilliant soap, just for good-ish soap.

I take it that these pieces are just user-submitted content, correct? The equivalent of CNN iReport?

Also this article has some typos: Michael Eason?

And how about

Why bring Lauren and Scotty back only to have her marry and divorce him in 4 months?

Umm, Lauren and Scotty were Y&R, sure they meant Laura and Scott?

lol, I missed that one. Top notch fact checking here!

Yep. It's pretty obvious that this article is little more than somebody's blog which is why I'm not going to let myself get all worked up over the author's suggestion that PP combine AMC and OLTL, no matter how wrongheaded and borderline offensive I find the suggestion.

What an infuriating article to read. So many grammatical mistakes, typos, and inaccuracies. As a journalist, it pisses me off to read this and, frankly, to see that this piece of [!@#$%^&*] was published by a supposedly reputable new source. I tried to e-mail the author to fill her in on her mistakes and her e-mail rejected my message.

Are the people who write this paid? It reads like my drunk blog posts--only those are, I think, more entertaining . . .

Good one, Eric! And I do believe Examiner.com does pay.
