Soap Alum Lands On Y&R

Marshall Hillard (ex-Dylan, DAYS; ex-Hart, GL) has joined the cast of Y&R as Officer George. According to the actor's rep, the character is set to be part of a major storyline.

Hillard's Hart came on after Phelps had left...I don't recall too much of Hillard, he just didn't leave the impression that Staab and Grillo did.

Yeah, Leonard Staab was the ULTIMATE Hart- I :wub:ed him. So tragic and said that he had that handgliding accident and had to be replaced.

I remember Hillard being ok, but he paled in comparison to his predecessor. But maybe it was just because he was a recast and Staab is what had me checking out GL at the time.

Stabb was the best Hart followed by Phelps and then Grillo

I thought he was decent. I mostly remember that they made him wear an ugly sport jacket all the time. Remember that?

I preferred him to Grillo, who was just a strange choice for the role.

He was brought in under Laibson/McTavish.

Leonard Staab was certainly my favorite as well if only for the eye candy factor.

The only thing I remember about Marshall Hillard was that interview he gave Soap Opera Digest where he claimed TPTB were [in his own words] "making a very big mistake" by letting him go.

Staab & Hilliard are close IRL and he does a lot to raise money for Staab's charities.

I liked Grillo as Hart but just preferred the previous Harts to him. MH was weird in the role...lol

He also appeared on GH last year as an officer. He told SOD last year that he had shot 8 episodes at that point. He was never credited in any episodes and I only noted him appearing once. Someone submits his name to IMDb as appearing in several GH and DAYS episodes the past couple of years but I can never find any indication he appeared in most of the episodes.

I remember Frank Grillo from that short lived supernatural show "The Gates" on ABC.....Had no idea he was on GL.

Big story yet he's playing some random cop? Yeah I doubt he has a big part in the story.
