Episode 58

"I don't got to play by the rules. Anybody's rules. Got it?" He never played by the rules anyway. He's bringing back the thug out of him. Mustn't be fun on the unemployment line.

Colby and Dixie finally have a scene together. Easier to differentiate them now that Colby is rocking the Lion King hair and towers her by several inches. Dixie lies and says she has to meet Opal for dinner. I wish they'd interact

Its obvious her scenes were taped on different days, bc her curls were less out of control later in the episode, but then they went back to the mess they were in the beginning. They really should have kept her her straight to maintain a better sense of continuity

"I want to kill the date, not my son" laugh.png Loving Colby and Petey as allies.

Finally Cassandra returns. It seems as if its been a while since we've seen her with all that party business. She seems better which is good.

Miranda should have moved in with Zach months ago when Bianca left. I guess his status wasn't exactly secure so that's why she may not have considered him as an option but Im glad that's changed

Yea the looser curls looked WAY better. But did you notice her hair is parted on the opposite side? That's another indication.

Episode 58

We all knew Miranda would live with Zach eventually didn't we?

I'm relieved Dixie wasn't as dumb as Colby thought and didn't violate Celia's privacy when questioned.

I loved Colby & Opal with their supplies and the skunk did make me laugh, but I felt like I missed something with the rope & the Dramamine. Did they get on the boat and those scenes were cut?

Pete & Celia's chemistry was flying off the charts as they danced. I thought the dialogue with him remembering everything she ever said was a bit much, though.

I'm glad Cassandra's home and look forward to seeing how she adjusts now that the trauma is over.

Jesse's going rogue and I can't wait to see how far he takes it!

Episode 59

Awww to Pete letting Celia clean up at his place and trying to salvage their date. It looked like she might've spent the night after Opal left.

Zach & Lea were hot!!!! I'm glad they're still trying to be a couple.

I'm intrigued by Dr. Anders and his mystery woman. I just hope his story is somehow connected to the rest of Pine Valley.

Finally JR with Colby's help figured out that it was David who sabotaged him! I loved their confrontation when David got right up in his face. I'm worried for Cara's secret with JR planning to get back at David now, but at least JR paid Oliver's hospital bill before he destroys Cara's life.

Ep 58

I'll be honest, I wasn't feeling this one. Colby and Opal working together to sabotage Pete's date makes no sense. Even if Opal has issues with Celia, I find it hard to believe she would sabotage a night that she knew meant the world to her son. Plus, Opal despises Colby and Colby made it very clear that if Celia were out of the picture, she'd be back humping Pete's leg. I didn't find the skunk prank very funny seeing as how that's Jane's business and in real life she'd have to shut down for days.

Also, I know we don't have many sets to work with but if someone pays $10,000 they deserve better than dinner at a tricked out Starbucks. Why couldn't they go to the Pines or whatever that restaurant is called? That said, now that they slowed things down, I find Pete/Celia a lot more palatable than I used to. That doesn't change the fact that I want Jane to tap that.

I'm beyond over mopey Miranda. I don't even feel like she's attracted to AJ. She's acting like he's a possession she's been forced to share and I'm tired of it. I'm glad that she's moving in with Zach. That relationship is good for both characters and when Miranda's parentage comes out it will add to the fallout.

AMC has done a very good job of keeping the language "edgier" even in spite of the profanity ban. When Opal said that Colby looked like she was "picking up johns on West Seventh street" I cracked up. I was also surprised that generic criminal got away with calling Jesse a dick. The only time I miss the profanity is with AJ and, oddly enough, Jesse. You can just tell that Darnell really enjoyed having profanity available to him. laugh.png

This post makes me think Anders' mystery woman might be someone from the show's past, any ideas folks?

Maggie Stone? I have no clue. It would have to be someone that "died" or that could have "died" off screen ala Jack Deveraux if they are going to show up in season two and be mysteriously alive.

Someone that the Satin Slayer "killed"

ETA happy Zach apparently has an apartment now and Miranda will be moving in with him. Took them long enough. Still hoping they can find a way to tie up the Bianca end of things if they are not going to do anything long term with the character because they way they left things just bugs me. It was really OOC for Bianca to just leave her in Pine Valley with the worst excuse ever.

Cara continues to annoy me, but surprisingly I like the new Leticia/Carmen. I know it is a soap but hiding a child from their parent when the parent has not posed a threat to you or the child really bothers me. Also, it's just a poorly conceived story, Opal should have outed them by now, or even Joe,but for some reason Joe is going along with it.

Pete and Celia at Pete's apartment was the first time Celia didn't seem like a teen to me. I lol'ed at the cheesy skunk jokes too.

Episode 59

Dixie pronounced Cara, Caura. Sounded odd.It bothers me that Griffin's mother is in the hospital that he works in with his nephew and he is MIA.

David going after JR for revenge? I say good for him!

Todays episode was the first time I actually didn't mind Anders and liked he and Dixie together. Why did they have to straddle her with a non-existent Tad? Anders looks really good without the glasses and I thought his acting was decent. That scene was very lowkey but very effective. You know what? Watching him today made me think he could have worked as a Jake recast.

Previews for next week: David to Jesse: "You should accept the fact that you're a loser Hubbard...."
