Once again I just have no patience for this hide-the-Oliver story. I might have bought that Cara was concerned for Oliver's safety if her solution wasn't to move him into the home of a known mental case who just got out of a coma and is still in recovery. Then Joe playing police man to Cara and insisting she not involve David because "he shot a man" I just can't with this story. He shot JR after JR went into a drunken rage and shot his daughter (that's not okay) but it just makes all her explainations nonsensical to me. If anything they are equally as dangerous and yet she has her son running around JR's home and JR reading him bed time stories.

I need this nonsense to be over because it is pushing Cara into Terressa territory for me.

I love the brewing tension between Brooke and the Chandler kids. I LOVE that JR went all ice cold evil AFTER AJ blew up at him and disowned him. I LOVE that Colby is the only person JR is his true self with. I love that Dixie still hopes for and sees the best in JR, but seems to resigned to the fact that he is beyond her help. Oh and I LOVE that JR spied Dimitri/Brooke (I'm not feeling them at all chemistry wise, but as a plot device, it works) and called them on it.

The Oliver story is completely ridiculous, but I look forward to the truth coming out so that JR can completely turn to the dark side. I prefer EEEVIL JR, so anything that pushes the character that way works for me.

Love Opal and Colby teaming up and I love how Colby can go from vulnerable to scheming in one fell swoop.

Still don't like Celia, but I did enjoy her conversation with Heather. I feel bad for Heather because AJ will break her heart, but I don't think she will go psycho. Interesting that although Heather seems to think that she and AJ are "meant to be", she seems to have no concern for him as far as what is going on with his family....other than badmouthing Colby - does she know that Colby is AJ's aunt?

Oh, and previous spoilers related to cut scenes notwithstanding, I think today pretty much hinted that the original plan was scrapped and Dimitri is Celia's guardian.

Yes, but that would also mean that the count was making it rain at the gala. placing secret phone bids on Celia's behalf and buying expensive jewelery. Dimitri came back as Daddy Warbucks I guess. J/K.

Pardon my previous rant I really did love these last two episodes, save for the continued absurdity of the Oliver story. I really feel badly for Heather because it is pretty darn evident this will not end well between her and AJ. Maybe when AJ and Miranda finally do hook up a distraught Heather can move to Lanview and save Jack Manning from the Mary K Laterno situation he is about to get himself into. IDK but Heather has grown on me.

Other things I loved: JR is starting to turn and I can not wait for the complete transformation. Sorry, crazy JR was the best part of AMC for me and I am so happy he is returning. Also, whatever they are doing with Colby it is working. I am still iffy on BN, but the way they kepp playing her daddy issues is making Colby more layered and less cartoonish. I actually felt bad for her.

Dimitri was always a gazillionaire or something like that because he offered Adam and Palmer money to buy off Will Cortlandt in 92 at the same time he was buying up Enchantment stock and attempting a takeover of Erica's company. I could go along with the idea that he's still quite wealthy, but if he is, then I'm not sure why he's working for Chandler Media.

I think Dimitri is a red herring. He was even holding a phone in his next scene, like he might have just gotten off the phone with Evelyn. Come on, it's too easy. I think it will still be who the deleted scenes described.

What I don't get is that these scenes were written with the audience knowing the guardian in mind - so why did it seem like Evelyn talking to the guardian was a one sided conversation without seeing the guardian? So strange.

Episode 55

So Dixie washed all that clown cake off her face, put on a new one & went in for a shift after the gala? K

Omg Letisha: "You can call me Abuela; everybody else does" how can she accept people calling her Grandma all the time sad.png LOLL

I loved how they integrated Oliver's peanut allergy and subtly related it to David's fav candy: peanut drops. laugh.png

Lindsay's looking beautiful as ever and doing a wonderful job w/this story. Loved that shot of Cara entering the hospital and bolting towards Oliver! It's pretty dumb she's been stashing him at the Chandler's but I'm actually not minding this story that much at all. I'm really enjoying the setup for what's obviously to come!

And I can't say it enough: Oliver/David/Cara = FLAWLESS. OMFG. FAMILY PICZ!!

Damn those JR/AJ scenes were crazy. Eric N overdid it a bit at times but overall did a really outstanding job! Honestly I really just couldn't get past JR's hair half the time though, so sorry Ryan B I refuse to give any further comment on you bud. Wait yes I do: Please fix your crusty fingers nbe.jpg OMG!! ;-p

I'm so over Celia's past & nightmares rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif I hope stuff has been cut because they plan not to have her back next season.

I loved the similar cinematography of the Celia/Heather and Dixie/Assders scenes even though they had no connection whatsoever. The episode just flowed very well, sans Dixie & Assders suddenly getting back to work (really that could've easily been Griffin in his place), and I loved how the whole thing was tied together with that montage at the end!

Episode 56

Lindsay H is MVP! That scene with her confronting JR about the steroids was phenomenal. Wow!

JR blackmailing Cara? YES! Knew that'd come in handy for him at some point. I love having angry JR back. That demonic look in his face @ the beginning was so good; the same look he had in the party flashbacks. Hope it continues.

Pete: "HOT DAMN!" LOL!!! I loved this scene so much & think It's cool how they're like business bro's now laugh.png

Colby & Opal teaming up biggrin.pnglaugh.png

Did anyone notice the continuity with those extra's at Jane's? The two girls (one had an amazing natural afro) met up at the bar/checkout area, then in the next scene when Colby and Opal stepped outside, you could see the afro girl just standing there, then her same friend appears from the shadows and greets her again like they're meeting up. LOL

Episode 56

The musical cue they played when Opal picked up the phone and saw Celia's picture change was creepy. Her outfit was so damn tacky and she was doing too much with all them accessories around her neck

I love Colby as the spoiled vengeful bitch. Go get Brooke! The war that's gearing up between Adam's kids and Brooke is soooo interesting! They really should have had her married to him to up the ante.

Jane looked good. Its like they decided to spice her up a bit with that hair

Colby is determined! LMAO at her trying to pair up with Opal in order to bust up Pete and Celia's date. "The lights are on but nobody's home"

Wonder what the deal is with Evelyn reacting to Dimitri's name, especially since she knew she was working for him already

I liked the scene with Cara confronting JR about stealing her pads (that didn't come out right...lol) and forging her signature.

LMAO! How the hell do you notice that?

I just realized that this week's episodes had no Hubbards and no Miranda and yet I didn't miss them. It's nice to see that other stories can move rather seamlessly to the forefront. To me that's proof of having a pretty strong canvas. I'm completely ready for JR/Cara/David and the Chandler family infighting to become frontburner while Celia's mystery starts to simmer.

Who was it that said that soaps should always have A, B, and C stories with each story at different stages of development? I think that AMC is using that structure quite effectively.
