Missed/forgot to watch Small Wonder [lol at snorting coke to prepare for it]. Not a big fan of Evening Shade. Instantly gave me 'Coach' vibes [not a bad thing but they instantly seemed similar to me]. Love me some Marilu Henner though! It was OK but eh.

And for Newhart fans the weekend airings started with Season 5 so you can see Stephanie and Michael. They had a strong cast with Dick, Joanna, Stephanie, Michael, George, The Larry's and Daryl ... I always feel like this show is very underrated. [i do have to LOL at Julia Duffy and Mary Frann having the exact same 80s hairdo. They look a lot a like, too]

Rob Stone .... um, yes. LOL

LOL! Jamie is pretty annoying, no argument there, but he's tolerable. And there's an entire family of annoying people as their neighbors, including pre-Valerie Edie McClurg. But don't give it up completely, get back to it later in its run. And what an astute observation with the '60s/'80s thing.

Maude is on Antenna TV every morning around the time I'm trying to go bed. So, I have started watching it more than I used to. And, I finally started liking the show. It's actually pretty funny.

I used to think it was boring. But, that's when I was only watching sporadically. It's grown on me now.

Sucks that I only get this channel in my bedroom. I wish they'd add it to Direct TV so that I could watch it on the non-HDTV/Digital TVs in my house without having to find and buy converter boxes.

I cannot wait until they finally start airing Dear John later this year. That was one of my favorite shows when I was younger. Jere Burns was awesome as Kirk. He bought the life to that show.

Do we have a Cozi TV thread? Miami Vice is joining Cozi on March 1. The show is also celebrating it's 30th anniversary that month.

It's been a really long time since I've seen Dear John. I do remember liking it and wondering why it never rerun anywhere except local syndication. I don't know if it ever ran on a cable network. It could have. Maybe TBS or USA way back in the early 90s.

I know some of you have mentioned not liking Mr. Belvedere, but damn it, I am now obsessed! Easily one of my top fave 80s sitcoms. Yes, it's a pretty predictable family sitcom with very special episodes galore, but it really appeals to me, and I don't know why. It's timeslot reminds me of all the 80s sitcoms that used to rerun in the afternoon about 15-20 years ago.

I'm glad that you've finally seen the light! It's now a part of my weekday regime, the last thing I watch before leaving for work at 6pm. What did you think of the Wesley's bff has AIDS VSE?

I think it holds up as a charming show. Gosh, to think I used to watch this Friday nights on ABC before they even launched the Miller-Boyett TGIF lineup. I didn't know until a few years ago that Mr. Belvedere had been a movie franchise back in the day.

I actually didn't get to see that infamous ep! I'm hoping to catch it when it airs on the weekend run (should be soon). It really is charming, though, and there's just something different about it that makes it stand apart from similar shows of the era.

Surprisingly, I think the first movie pretty much lines up directly with the pilot.

    • They are idiots! It seems crazy that Leslie is inserting herself so much into this investigation but everybody is falling into her traps. I find it to be an interesting back and forth and I'm still not completely sure who will win. I have a theory but I'm going to wait for more to develop before I say more. I feel like Haley has been more on the sidelines so I'm enjoying this new desperate streak she appears to be developing. I'm curious how it'll manifest overtime. I also agree with Dani that I am not convinced she's pregnant. I think she's trying to get pregnant but really just see's herself fading into the background and wants attention and validation from Dani and her family.
    • Thanks for sharing; the set, wow. Ten times better than the "penthouse" she lives in now (is that a surprise, though?).
    • I'd be happy to!

I just read the intro and first chapter and I'm already hooked. I know she had a co-author, but I can tell Kim is a firecracker and I'd love to have wine with her and talk sh!t haha. It makes reading the book pretty easy and entertaining. Intro - I had no idea she got a DUI! She shared 3 bottles of wine with a friend at dinner one night in LA, got in her car, was pulled over and thrown in jail overnight.  She admitted it wasn't her first time drinking and driving, but learned a valuable lesson that night. Out of the gate, she's not holding back or hiding anything. Chapter 1 - the announcement that GL was being cancelled. She was driving to Peapack and got a call from Bradley Cole who told her the news. First, that's BS that as one of the faces of GL, you hear the big news from a fellow co-star on your way to work. Granted, the "suits" were traveling to Peapack that day to tell the cast and crew, but still, seems icky. Ironically the news came on April Fools Day. Apparently that was the last day the network could decide whether to cancel or renew, but to Kim's point, couldn't they just pick the day before to avoid the callousness of the 'holiday'. Obviously a sad day in GL history. I thought it was funny, she said the one thing she thought of is "what would Susan Lucci do" in this situation, post-cancellation. And of course she said she'd "find something to hawk on the Home Shopping Network"  You all would know better than me, but part of the title of her book is "seven husbands" and in her intro, she uses Reva's full name: Reva Shayne-Lewis-Lewis-Spaulding-Lewis-Winslow-Cooper-Lewis-Lewis-O'Neill.  However, in the first chapter, she said Bradley Cole was "her 8th (or was it 9th?) husband". Well, Kim, that already contradicts the title of your book and your character's name you touted.

    • I was incredibly moved by these scenes, especially Peter's performance. It felt so tender and real, especially when you remember Bo just got out of a years-long coma and wasn't going to be able to put up a front. You're reminded of how long these legends have populated the show when you have a 70 year old man grieving men who were almost 90 or 100, but Bo's response to Victor's death was a poignant reminder of how fresh these wounds are no matter your age. Normally these types of moments don't even make it in soap episodes in recent decades as they are seen as too boring. The more somber moments being balanced by Bo meeting his grandchildren was also lovely.  And the scene where Bo forgave Shawn may be the only time I've been in lock with Brandon Beemer's take on the part.  There's a certain element of suffocation with soaps, as shown here, when you remember so many of the kids are named after long dead relatives, or when they grew up, were paired with the kids of other longtime characters. That aspect always makes me yearn for new blood (new blood that doesn't suck, anyway), but there are other moments, like those with Bo, which make me appreciate all the history the show has.
    • A funny scene, Roger and Sonni go out to eat, at that place that had a colonial theme (I love when soaps have very specific places to eat..I hated the diners on GL, ATWT and AW) and this is just after Rog came back and Sonni hit the headlines and the waitress scremes.."Oh, Roger Thorpe, and YOUR...please dont' hurt me..." and they are all like, "Hey, were just hungry!" (most soaps now have someone go on a murder spree and the rest of the cast and extras look like they havent heard about it."
