For the most part I don't think they can be blamed TOO much unless they knew in advanced that they'd be called up on stage to interview on the fly.

I never thought of them as casual either. I wish she'd had some. I guess the idea was meant to be she was always looking for the love of her life. Philip and Reva having a fling during Bolger's run would have been interesting, as India would have hired a hitman.
Josh and Reva reuniting didn't surprise me as they always got back together, although Jeffrey returning and Reva being torn might have been a "soapier" ending. I might have had a house fall on Jeffrey as he showed up though...

Yes, Reva was always looking for what she could get from a guy. What he could do for her. Vanessa used to chide Alan about it all the time. She had Reva's number.
I don't think it was always about money for her (though it DID help). Stability is a good way of putting it, though in the end she never seemed to find it.
That's the kind of pandering shows frequently do at the end. Doesn't matter how toxic the relationship, they're convinced (and they're not entirely wrong) that the audience craves a happily ever after.

ALL: Sexiest men on soaps

In the past for sexiest men on soaps, Y&R in the second half of the 1990s. Shemar Moore at his peak hotness. Eric Braeden glowed up. Christian LeBlanc grew into his looks.
Currently it's all about BtG. Sean Freeman the hotness of BtG and he's gotten hotter. Jibre Hordges is about to have a glow up. Brandon Claybon hasn't glowed up yet but he could. Clifton Davis I wouldn't consider him cute/hot/sexy but he has aged well.

I didn't think Reva's hookups were casual. A lot of times she jumped from man to man for stability. Then she'd convince herself she was in love.
If there was ever a moment for a John Conboy-esque FU to TIIC, it should've been Wheeler refusing to let Josh and Reva riding off into the sunset. Just as Josh and Reve were ready to climb into that absurdly old truck, ol Jeff should've popped out from behind some bushes and said "honey, I'm home."
What did I care? lol...I got my happy ending. But of course, choosing chaos was never in Wheeler's wheelhouse.

lol. But they might just write him (and Abby?) better than the writing they are getting on Y&R.

It's not even CBS's first time crossing over characters from one show to another show. Like when Another World's Jake crossed over to ATWT. And I believe his was a successful one from what I remember. Just the little bit we got with him had potential.

BTG: February 2026 Discussion Thread

Exactly. When Nicole and Vanessa had their scene this week, I saw it two ways. One was that of course Nicole would go to Vanessa because that is her BFF and has been for a long time. Makes total sense to me. At the same time, I saw them and given the nature of their conversation just knew that viewers would have an issue with her talking to Vanessa. And sure enough online that was what I kept seeing more than viewers happy to see Nicole/Vanessa having scenes together when it's been established they were the best friends to Dani/Pamela.

Like her TRUE BFF Dani though hehe, Vanessa is darned if she do, darned if she don't. It makes me wonder if the reason for that is...just like viewers waiting for SPS to pay for Laura's accident and impatient for it...viewers are over waiting for how Joey's involvement in Doug's death will come out. And they are taking their impatience on Vanessa.

Of the original actors that were the Brooks/Foster children, did you think any of them had primetime potential?
James Houghton was part of the original cast of Knots Landing and had a short arc on The Colbys. Brenda Dickson in between her two runs was a guest star on Falcon Crest. Jaime Lyn Bauer got a short-lived primetime soap Bare Essence and made the guest star rounds (Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, Hotel, Knots Landing) before returning to daytime on Days.
William Gray Epsy remained on daytime (Another World) with some guest starring roles in between his daytime stints. Janice Lynde also remained on daytime (Another World, One Life to Life) with some guest starring roles before and after her daytime stints.
Trish Stewart and Pamela Peters had some guest starring roles and that was it.
