Same here. It gave the show the classic feel, even if the writing and the other production values are a shade of former glory. Don't get me wrong, I find the show pretty ok these days, but that's about it.

Catching up with this week. 3 days of Jill in a row. Yay!

They need to force B&B's Music Supervisor to pull double duty. He has done an excellent job of modernizing the score, but still using those classic pieces. It feels like a glorious, lush Bell soap. And when he throws a modern song in here and there, it's a good song and it fits. I also loved the whole "Pose" scandal when Brooke slept with Oliver. Picking that song just added to the hilarity of the story. With the music on Y&R both now and when LML took over, it seems more like they're doing favors to a friend and not looking and what works for the show.

THis was actually one of highlights of this week: Jill was talking to BOTH her sons this week and the talk with insta-sister Lauren was REALLY good as it was as much about Jill than Lauren.. Was pleasantly surprised by this.

The Thursday cliffhanger with Lauren&Michael's 1st date was pretty decent: the "mysterious" bottle of champagne. Classic Y&R - if only the music had been a classy.

The background music always added a certain charm to the show; for me, as a person, music always adds something to a scene. Jill pretty much made music like any other, it is no longer recognizable to me.

I wish there was a soundtrack somewhere out there with all the background music.

The whole Katherine/Cane/Jill lovefest has been incomprehensible from the start. The minute that they found out that he conned them, they should have thrown him out. His deceptions, including those involving Lily, have been indefensible yet people act like walks on water.
