May 11, 201312 yr Author Administrator Super Fun Night Junior attorney Kimmie Boubier (Rebel Wilson) and her two best friends Helen-Alice (Liza Lapira) and Marika (Lauren Ash) have had a standing date every Friday night for the last 13 years. They even have a motto for what they call “Friday Night Fun Night”: “Always together! Always Inside!” However, Kimmie’s recent promotion throws a monkey wrench into the tradition. Not only is she now working with her idol, “Lady Lawyer of the Year” Felicity Vanderstone (Kelen Coleman), but she meets a dashingly handsome British attorney, Richard Lovell (Kevin Bishop), who invites her to his party at a trendy club. Determined to spend time with Richard and heed Felicity’s advice to network, Kimmie sets out to convince her friends to take Super Fun Night on the road. “Super Fun Night” stars Rebel Wilson (“Pitch Perfect,” ”Bridesmaids”) as Kimmie, Lauren Ash (“Lars and the Real Girl”) as Marika, Liza Lapira (“Don’t Trust the B—in Apt. 23”) as Helen-Alice, Kelen Coleman (“The Newsroom”) as Felicity, Kevin Bishop (“Star Stories”) as Richard. “Super Fun Night” was written and executive produced by Rebel Wilson. Executive producers are Conan O’Brien, David Kissinger, and director John Riggi (“30 Rock”). “Super Fun Night” is from Conan O’Brien’s production company, Conaco Prods and is produced by Warner Bros. Television.
May 11, 201312 yr Member This is another show I'm definitely hoping is good... I heard the pilot wasn't the greatest but not a lot of comedy pilots are (save for Modern Family) so hopefully it finds its footing plus Kelen Coleman is in it so... I'm ready for this show as well.
May 15, 201312 yr Author Administrator This was a show I wanted to see when it was a CBS pilot last year, so I'll definitely give a try. <object name="kaltura_player_1368597871" id="kaltura_player_1368597871" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="always" allowNetworking="all" allowFullScreen="true" height="412" width="486" data="http://www.kaltura.com/index.php/kwidget/wid/1_roso6ath/uiconf_id/8048881"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowNetworking" value="all" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" /><param name="movie" value="http://www.kaltura.com/index.php/kwidget/wid/1_roso6ath/uiconf_id/8048881"/><param name="flashVars" value=""/><a href="http://corp.kaltura.com">video platform</a><a href="http://corp.kaltura.com/video_platform/video_management">video management</a><a href="http://corp.kaltura.com/solutions/video_solution">video solutions</a><a href="http://corp.kaltura.com/video_platform/video_publishing">video player</a></object>
May 15, 201312 yr Member This looks hilarious. I was so mad CBS passed on this last year. This would have been a great companion for Big Bang Theory. I'm glad ABC picked it up.
May 15, 201312 yr Member I don't get the premise of this show. Every week there will be geeky fat jokes about the three friends? That does not work for me.
May 15, 201312 yr Member Um... I think this could be funny without all the corny fat and sex jokes. Rebel Wilson is very funny, but I don't think this is the right vehicle for her... if CBS passed on this, then there must have been a good reason why. That said, I don't think the show deserves to be placed after Modern Family... adult comedies have fared badly behind the show (i.e. Apt 23, Happy Endings). They need a family sitcom (one that is actually funny and not niche) to be placed behind MF... and this show isn't it.
October 4, 201312 yr Author Administrator I really liked the first episode! There were a lot of funny lines and the physical comedy (the elevator scene, the sing off at the end) was hilarious.
October 5, 201312 yr Member I really liked the first episode! There were a lot of funny lines and the physical comedy (the elevator scene, the sing off at the end) was hilarious. Me too! I still feel CBS shouldn't have let this go. This would be a decent companion for TBBT.
October 5, 201312 yr Member I don't get the premise of this show. Every week there will be geeky fat jokes about the three friends? That does not work for me. It sure as hell didn't work for "Babes." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ssgOyL0JLM Edited October 5, 201312 yr by Khan
October 5, 201312 yr Member I found it okay, but it probably would've been better on CBS as a multi-camera show. I didn't like it as much as a single camera comedy. This is the type of slapstick that works better with a studio audience.
October 6, 201312 yr Member If we are lucky, this will die a quick and painless death. Awful! Just awful! Cliched garbage!
October 6, 201312 yr Member Still mad they skipped the pilot, it better air at some point since I only want to watch it for Kelen Coleman.
