I think the crux of the suit regarding the misuse of the OLTL characters is the killing of Tea's baby, Cole & Hope. Then strongly suggesting Tomas who PP did not loan to GH could really be Alcazar a GH character

I doubt PP cares who Starr John or Todd slept with

Yeah right ABC play it cagey

I have a feling a court could supply ABC with the proof they signed for the summons & Complaint from PP & ABC would still say, we have yet to see the complaint or be served.

No, the crux of the lawsuit is the loss of the 3 performers disguised as the killing of Cope and VJ. Alkie? That can be corrected in one segment because it was, as you say, only suggested.

It's really shocking how much wasted time, effort, and money has gone into three damn actors/characters. I mean, it is nearly unfathomable considering that GH hasn't benefitted from their presence one iota.

Some of this is silly, but I do think PP has some legitimate gripes in there and it's telling that those URLs were released to PP for OLTL and AMC online quick, fast, and in a hurry.

As far as everyone saying "Why did they wait so long to say something?" Why does it matter? They are within the legal limits and yes It could be all sour gripes, but it doesn't really matter if their claims are valid (and I do believe that some of them are). Is there some rule that all lawsuits have to be for noble reasons? They can be bitter as hell but if some of their claims are legit, they're legit.

The same goes for the, "They can just bring Cole and Hope back from the dead" stuff. Yes, they can, but why should they have to if they had an agreement about story consultation. I'm sure PP is well aware that they can resurrect whatever characters they want, the point is about whether or not they were consulted about any of that as that was part of the terms of the agreement.

That is how lawsuits usually occur, you go into negotiations, try to work it out, if those breakdown, you decide the best way to proceed - often the result is filing suit.

But it doesn't matter because Ron and Frank only have their best interests at heart! Didn't you watch the Nurses Ball??

This is why no one takes these people serious as "jurnulysts". In the end they're all just overgrown fans who have latched on to a certain thing and will pursue it to irrational distraction. In this case, Ron and Frank and the wisdom of the Magi. Making fools of themselves on Twitter. Twitter makes the sanest person crazy. I'll never understand social networking.

Plus that was the most BIZARRE LEGAL DOCUMENTS I HAVE EVER READ!!! And I am a law student!!! If I was a judge I would be like should I throw this crap out?

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/sites/default/files/custom/Documents/ESQ/PROSPECT_ABC_Complaint_WM.pdf

I am a law student too and that was hands down the most fun thing I have read in law school. I wish I could pass the bar early just so I could offer ABC my services for free.

In the end all that matters is what was in that original agreement which includes the addendum about borrowing the 7 from OLTL. If that states that they can only further story for thise 7 and that PP has to be on the decision making. And If PP can prove they tried with ABC but ABC didnt respond in kind, ABC are sunk. Plus given the fact that ABC/GH tried to advance Tomas' story which they shouldnt have done one bit since that role wasnt loaned to them, then ABC breached. If its stated that these characters were to be minor on GH, ABC has breached.

The fact that the ULRS now redirect to TOLN will be small patatoes.

If PP wins what could happen to the license? Could PP wind up winning the rights to the shows?

Nope. The lisence is still Valid cause PP produced the shows in time. So they have them for 10 years at which time the lease is up for renewal. The shows are still being produced. That won't change. If PP wins then ABC will have to pay PP's money claim.

Here's my question: if this goes to trial (or to a court-appointed mediator, or whatever), and ABC is found at fault, what happens? Might they be forced to do more than pay the asked-for $25 million in damages?

Is it a breach, and maybe this is what they meant by changing other characters' relationships, to have mentioned story things like Natalie taking custody from John, mentioning that evil Clint Buchanen had her hidden away etc?

No of course not. LOL Where did you even conceive that could happen

Nevermind, it was a dumb question.
