GH actually went up a little.. Other than the lost in total viewers, GH ratings are steady & strong..

They may be down, but three are up significantly from last year both in viewers and demo - that's pretty amazing.

These shows have about the same 18-49 demo as last year, none are significantly up. If anything they are treading water which is not a bad thing. It is better them collapsing.

Considering that soap ratings are only Live+SD v. L+7D (or L+3D) and that the ratings don't include streaming, etc., this is very positive. Most network prime time shows are down significantly from last year. After all these years are major losses, steady is a very good thing.

Yeah, why is that, anyway? A lot of people miss a day or two, then do a marathon catch-up. I've never understood why the ratings are done Live+SameDay. Goofy, really.

My theory on Friday is that people have the weekend to catch up and they want to do things since it's the weekend, so it's not as urgent to watch the Friday episode on the same day.

Ratings are reported each week using Live+SD. The season to date numbers do include Live+7, however.

Interesting. I know that that's how they're reported, I just don't get why that is. I assume there's some advertising reason or something, though it still strikes me as a little odd. Glad Seasonal numbers are Live+7, at least.
